What are the liumititaions of the "slave" drive? Will my CD (Not CD rw ) drive work as normal if it were a slave?

Ok sounds like i have a few options. I want to creat a CD image: Can this be done withoutspecial software? I want to set it as a virtual drive: how do i do this do i do it without software. I want to make what I want clear. I want to make it so I can start a game just by clicking ono a icon oin the desktop without putting in a cd or activating other software just run the game. Id rather not download extra software to do this I dont really care it the process to set this up is lengthly or complex.

I dont plan on playing games with copy protection. I just want to be able to play multiple games off 1 hd instead of mutiple CDs. I think this may involve partioning off a space for each cd right?

PS I dont want to buy extra hardware besides a cable. And yes my PSU has the connections to support another device.

Ok what I want to do may be simple to do but I am not sure how to do it. I want to copy files off a CD to a HD so that when I want to play a game that needs the CD in the drive the system will use the "CD" that is on the HD. Can this be done?

Is it possible to connect another HD to my system without disconnecting my current HD and CD drive? My system board olny has 2 IDE slots. I know that you can get cables that will fit into two IDE devices and the motherboard. How does a setup like this work?

I still think you guys dont understand what I want. I don't want to communicate between two computers. I want to communicate between my PC and a telephone WITHOUT an internet connection. I want too be able to use my PC like I use a normal telephone.

Do palm pilots count as computers how bout x bocxes running linux or internet appliances running crap???

I bassickly just want to plug my 56K modem into my phone jack and be able to dial numbers, answer, u=have an answering machine .etc. Is there software to do this or limited funcions like these??

Why dont you look at homebuilt computer cooling sytems you may find something useful.

What do u mean? I have a ether net cable ruinning into my room, it is connected to my PC I want to rin a 56k cable from my PC to my laptop so I can have internet on the laptop and transfer files to and from the laptop and PC.

Can this be done? Just connect the two PCs via their modems? What could be done with this connection eg file transfer. Also if one of the PCs had a broadband connection via a 10/100 card could the other computer access the net? I lknow this wont work without special software on at least one of the PCs. Also is it possible for to PCs to communicate thru serial ports?

From my understanding some males get penile erections at almost exactly 90 min intervals during sleep. I have alays wondered about this. Well you may be able to tell that the body was moved if there where scratch marks on his body from where twigs and such would have scratched him as he was dragged. Those fires are not man made. You dont make it clear why you thijnk they are not man made If it is man made. Then probably there will be heat. What Makes you assoiate "man made" with "there must be heat"? And it will burn the things on which it catches fire. I was also wondering if there can be any such technology which can produce such a fire! And so the posting over here. It sure makes an interesting mixture of science and religion. It should also be noted that even if there is such techonology to produce this kind of fire, the people over there would not even afford to use it.What makes you think people couldent afford to use it? Althought, the video shows the trees/ bush being burnt. It is actually not so.You provide no proof either way. The proof are the people who actually are there when it occurs and who touches the fire. In the video there is also a voice of a woman who told the others that "she touches the fire and it doesn't generate or produce any heat". She also tell others to go and test themselves. Well it is an interesting idea but I think you need to worry more about how to distribut the heat safely. You don't want the handle to over heat and burn the skin on your hand. How do you plan on heating the knuckles of the hand? what is the avantage of this over wearing gloves or mittenes with or without chemical heating pads inside? You may want to consider using chemical heating instead of electric. Where abouts do you with temperatures like that?
