      Basically, Godel proved that formal languages of sufficient complexity cannot be both consistent and complete. A consistent system is one in which it is not possible to prove a false statement. A complete system is one in which it is possible to prove all true statements.

       

      The relevant languages are mathematics in general and some advanced logics.

    Science and Religion have never gotton on. So why do people continuosly post their beliefs knowing they will probably get bad feedback, I have my own beliefs yet I do not go on about them. Can you not all keep them to yourselves and let science takes its place here where it belongs.. I am sure there are a lot of religious sites as well. No one knows what 'God' is or who 'God' is. Its what you feel he is.

      Perhaps one day religious claims may be validated via science, but science and religion will never be one, as they do fundamentally different things.

      It should be two weeks or so. The new SFN is even slower than the last one, so I won't be posting a whole lot, but I will post some. It takes 10 minutes or more to load a page on this terrible connection.
