False, if Both are Infinite they are then both the same "amount" and since the universe is not Solid matter, it`s obviously False.
I see you point and agree, but I'm not sure that is what Martin ment. I think he ment is space infinate. (?)
I think you (YT) would be very good at the following type of question:
'How far can a dog run into the wood?"

The words "could be" make this statement true. If you were to have used the word "is" instead then it would not be true because no-one knows.

During my Ph.D. (about 10 years ago!) I made some 100 nm polymers stripes on a Si substrate using e-beam lithography. My Wife for her Ph.D. makes 10 nm dots and spheres by polymerisation. So between us we are experts at making nana dots and stripes!
Very useful for someone I'm sure!!

He may not even need to use the torch - just prinkle salt on the ice and it should start to melt. Salt water (IIRC) freezes at about 14 or 15 degrees below 0C.

V = (4/3 Pi.rs^3)sphere - (Pi.rc^2 . h)cylinder
where:
rs = radius sphere
rc = radius cylinder
h = 6 inches
ie - volume of sphere - volume of cylinder.
Then simplify.

This has happened to me as well a couple of times. IIRC the Chinease used to put this down to a spirit/deamon that sits in your chest while you sleep. It is quite annoying and, whilst in your semiconcious state, it can be be quite confusing and a bit scary.

A real hard one (which doesn't sound hard at first untill you think about it) would be the universal translator! (in star trek) Sounds easy if you know the languages to translate - but could a computer translate a NEVER BEFORE heard alien language? Answer is no way, as they have no starting point to calibrate from - doesn't matter how good the technology, a never heard before lanuague comprised of gutteral sounds and clicks could not be translated to English instantly by a computer. However, allowing them their artistic licence - it is still a great idea and a cracking series.

Mendelejev has already given this site, but check out the coffe table - it's well cool!

You divide the distance travelled over the time taken. ..errrrr.... OK I finally get it - you mean reading a book fast, not velocity measurement!
Depends - you may get a snippet from a research paper if you need to scan it quickly to see if anything interesting is in it, but I doubt you can pass a degree buy being lasy enough to just speed read through a text book.

In fact, your question "what is the speed of time?" is alot more complicated as time doesn't have 'speed' because speed is measured as a distance travelled over TIME!
That is what I ment by this really.

Psychopharmacology
What's your favorite psychological field?
There was a 'field' near our uni where the mushrooms grew...

We equate it to the frequency and vibration of a quartz crystal for most watches. We also have the earth revolving around the sun as a 'standard' measure for time.
second (s): In the International System of Units (SI), the time interval equal to 9,192,631,770 periods of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the cesium-133 atom.
Going further:- time and space are linked by relativistic means so, at speeds close to C time dilates........... (look up relativity)
In fact, your question "what is the speed of time?" is alot more complicated as time doesn't have 'speed' because speed is measured as a distance travelled over TIME!
Anyway - here are some definitions of time which may (or not) help as your question goes alot deeper than you might think.

Hi - I'm DrP. i like reading through science discussion forums and post when I think I can be helpful (maybe not that often then) or need help myself.
Regards.

Waves and Particles, help me
in Quantum Theory

I'll have to say that Klaynos is right about the Youngs double slit experiment. It is excellent for explaining how an electron travells as a wave and hits as a particle. It is the definitive explanation of wave-particle duallity.
