  1. sort of, but it more so was the stuff i already know about common difference. the specific sequence above is what i dont get
  2. Tn = 3/4n^2 -9 what is the common difference of said series/sequence the answer is 3/2 and i dont know how it is. i thought common different was just what each term differs by so i replaced n with numbers to get t1=-8.25 t2= -6 t3= -2.25 and i dont see anything common. guidance?
  3. well i guess, but if it helpan it is prove abiogenesis than it indirectly disproves religion i understand now why its so crucial. thanks
  4. interesting sites. 5500 divid. 25500 = 0.21 so log 0.21 divided by log 0.85 = x
  5. like i understand that it's super cool to be able to see life forms potentially living on other planets, but is doing all the research for life on mars really worth the money? how would it benefit our lives knowing there's little bits of living things on mars. Enlighten me to escape my current ignorance.
  6. i just finsihed my chemistry unit and I must say it was surely easier than biology speaking at high school level here
  7. Thanks . I get that. What I don't get is, when something is polar, how to determine which direction the dipoles are pulling the most. Example: HCN goes to the right because the electronegativities progressively increase.
  8. Yes, sorry, I thought since the outer shell of nitrogen was full it had no free pairs, brain fart guess. I wonder if that would have anything to do with it considering the boron still wouldn't have his valence shell filled.
  9. 1. you know methanol is CH3OH, which turns out to be tetrahedral in shape, correct? but it doesn't necessarily look like its exclusively tetrahedral, so can you have more than one shape in a bond? 2. BBr3 and NI3 are different in shape because of what? - would saying that since the central atom has no free electrons in the NI3 bond but there are in the BBr3 bond, making it so the extra, free electrons push the bonded electrons away for more moving space be an adequate response?
  10. and how do you figure out their structural shape? I don't understand how you can just tell either of these two things and looking at this list of molecules I have to answer these questions too is might discouraging. Anyone with any pointers?
  11. Does his skin condition affect that too. I was just wondering and wanted a scientific perspective.
  12. ive noticed the less hours i sleep the wayy less i seem to remember so i am sure it does have an effect.. i just am wondering the biological explanation
  13. in general. i was wondering with the world having such a large number of inhabitants would it be most desirable for it to continue to grow or should we try to make a decline
  14. Prove that y has no real value for which the quadratic equation x^2 - 10 = y(x-2) has two equal real roots
  15. 500 millilitres of acetic acid is in solution and is then diluted yielding a 5 percent solution. What is the volume of said solution. (Note Concentration of acetic acid is 17.4 mol/l). V1C1 = C2V2 500ml x 17.4 mol/l = 0.05 g/ml x V2 This is what I have for an equation but I think I took a step in the wrong direction. Help?
  16. http://cemc.uwaterloo.ca/Contests/past_contests/2001/2001FermatContest.pdf Number 16. I honestly have no clue
  17. Like maybe not complex ones, but ones that are just plain cool!
