  1. I suppose it is possible if you were the void recording it in real-time, it would be impossible to get it on film because the speed of it happening would be so immense

That's not exactly true. You might say that every space-time point in the universe is the point of origin, as the Big Bang occurred here, there and everywhere. A crude analogy could be made to a rubber sheet with all points in a universe within a really dense circle. Now stretch the sheet in all directions and you see your universe expand. Of course, this analogy fails to account for two things--1) the extent of the observable universe is not infinite and 2) nevertheless, there is no prefered point in that finite region you can call a point of origin.

There are two theorys about the universe

    1) That the universe since the big bang is constantly expanding called and ever-expanding universe

    2) That the universe will one day reach the point where its momentum runs out and gravity will pull it back in again resulting in the big crunch

Personally i think the ever expanding universe theory is correct because i dont think that momentum has anything to do with it.

    But thats my personal opinion.

  2. Euthanasia is assisted suicide. There are two main types:

Active Euthanasia: This means taking something out that is keeping them alive (eg feeding tube).

Passive Euthanasia: This means turning off something that is keeping them alive (eg a live support machine).

    Should it be legalised?

  3. Are we on about the original natural global warming or the human enchanced global warming?

I do think global warming occurs because the Co2 levels in the atmoshpere are rising (everyone knows that) by 2.2PPM each year.

Soon the levels will reach danger point and we need to act now.

  4. Well, should it get colder in Arctica, the ise will build up again. Then the Gulfstream will come back, and everything will return to normal[/font].

What if the gulf stream would stop for say, 50 years? It would cause havoc with the worlds economies and some less stable economies would collapse.

The Gulf Stream provides warm water from the Indian and Pacific oceans to cooler waters such as the northern part of the Atlantic. the cold waters then return to the indian and pacific oceans, cooling them down. if this were to stop the indian and pacific oceans would heat up and the Atlantic cool down to freezing point.

From ~1940-1950 temperatures fall. Yet sunspot activity had been increasing since 1930. For 20 years prior, sunspot activity had been relatively flat, yet temperature had been increasing. ~1960-1965 has a massive drop in sunspot activity but an increase in temperature.

You can't cherry-pick the data that you use. If the correlation doesn't hold for half of the time span in question, you can't conclude that sunspot activity is a good proxy for temperature.

Sunspots are spots on the sun cooler than 15000 degrees celcius. or is it 10000?

Anyway, they impact the earths weather because the change the amount of UV and Radioactive rays that reflect of the Earth and other planets surface.

  5. Global Warming already exists. Its been in our climate for thousands of years and is a natural cycle. Humans using green house gases such as CO2 and Methane are causing Enhanced Warming. This is where the Earth heats at an unnatural rate. Global warming is a natural cycle of our climate increasing its heat and cooling its heat.

This is a picture of the Earths annual mean temperature rising to its highest ever.

carbon dioxide level has risen by an average 2.2ppm each year since 2001 which means it will have risen 13.2% by the end of this year.

  6. There are a number of theories as to why humans age. here are a few.

    1. Evolution creates ageing genes to elimate maladapted individuals, so they cannot contribute their genes to the population. In a changing environment, the gene pool must change, and individuals adapted to a different environment must go.

    2. The genes for ageing are harmful mutations that take effect only with greater age. Since they act long after normal reproduction has already happened, they are not eliminated by natural selection. Over a period of a billion years or more, these harmful genes have accumulated, till there are now enough to age and kill every individual in time. We already know that the rate of elimination of harmful mutations from the population depends on when they affect individuals. Genes like Progeria, which cause harm before puberty are eliminated quickly - one generation. Genes that kill after puberty, like hemophilia, take a number of generations to be totally eliminated. Genes like Huntingtons which kick in after age 40, may take 100 or more generations to be eliminated. It is reasonable to suspect that harmful genes that have an effect only after, say, age 50, may never be eliminated.

    3. The mitochondria are the source of ageing. These are the energy producers of the cells, and they have their own nucleic acids, which produce their own respiratory enzymes. As time goes by, more and more mitochondria develop harmful mutations. As a higher percentage of the mitochondria in the human body become less able to produce energy, the body's processes slow down. Laboratory studies have shown that mitochondria do, in fact, suffer such defects over time. This is reversed in reproduction by a selection process. The defective mitochondria are eliminated, and only unspoiled ones can become part of a human ova. Thus, a new embryo begins with a clean slate.

    and so on.

You got a point you know?

  7. Ok, is this the right equation for photosynthesis

    6CO2 + 12H2O + Photons --> C6H12O6 + 6O2 + 6H2O

    Is this right?

and is it right that most plants are photoautotrophs which means that they are able to synthesize food directly from inorganic compounds using light energy.

    Is that right?
