  1. One is a sibling who is a lawyer Closer to 30%, but your core point resonates deeply within me, too
  2. You’re basically blogging a light flavor of spam with zero points for discussion (and this is why you’ve been banned at other sites… that plus sock-puppetry)
  3. Resins are finicky. Their composition matters. Some are good for skim coats whereas others are good for deep pours. Their chemistry and how the user preps govern how they behave. Curing can go badly with simple things like improper mixing time. I’ve had to stir some for 5-7 minutes to ensure the reaction goes correctly. Proportions of A and B (resin, hardener, etc.) in the mixture need to be super precise. They’re also sensitive to air temp and humidity levels, especially if those things are fluctuating while it cures. Different products also require specific times between coats, and bonding will fail if the follow-up coat is applied too soon or too late, even if you’ve lightly scuffed the surface for better mechanical bonding. You probably know all this already. I don’t know your answer here, but I do know it often matters whether you’re using standard shellac or de-waxed shellac. I always stick (no pun intended) with the latter.
  4. There’s also acid free tape one can use for scrap booking and which is safe for photos and portraits and for art. Scotch and 3M are here too common brands
  5. There’s different levels of adhesion depending on which painters tape one gets, and some have different textures that work better on various surfaces (smooth versus rough, for example). The paint section of your local hardware store has lots of educational opportunities. Even different brands of post-it’s have different levels of tack.
  6. I have family who feels Fox is too liberal and shown insufficient fealty to Trump and so have switched over to OAN and Newsmax in the same way they left more common social media like FB and Twitter instead for Parlor then Truth social. TikTok and the like then amplifies the issue, both algorithmically and with hints of active meddling from various nefarious undemocratic actors.
  7. Likewise, Biden’s unfavorables are now higher than Trumps And too old
  8. He’s just trying to derail the thread. Literally every post he’s made
  9. Right, but if you start with Carolina reaper it will also cause the release of your stomach contents and likely later liquids that make your anus burn. The easiest way to feel better is to help someone else. Paradoxically altruism is selfish. Add in some exercise. Good sleep. Going for a walk. Finding a way to work with your hands. These all help.
  10. The EU is stepping up and already paying more to NATO per capita than other countries (especially Poland who has more skin in the game). Spending based on GDP is also way up. Problem is they can’t ramp up quickly enough and won’t be able to supply Ukraine with munitions until closer to 2025. The US is the only country who can help Ukraine bridge the gap and get them enough weapons to survive through the rest of this year. The US also wants to do this. Over 70% of the populace supports it. If a bill came to the floor, it would pass. The problem is one man trying to save his job. He’s Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, and he won’t allow the bill to come to the floor for that vote. Don’t blame America. Blame MAGA morons and their Cheeto Mussolini godhead who seems always to want what’s best for Putin (and are perhaps more susceptible to Putins social media manipulation farms)
  11. It’s not America per se, but the right wing. And when the US is no longer dominant, it’s China who will take over. Be careful what you wish for.
  12. Har. I’ll go at this another way then: Climate systems can paradoxically become confusing when you oversimplify them.
  13. But polls of actual voters do Most claim the 2020 election was stolen. It’s like a purity test.
  14. Except a conviction will lead to him getting fewer votes even among his ardent supporters and thus not serving at all given how tight the margins appear to be https://www.ipsos.com/en-us/americans-divided-whether-president-biden-received-special-treatment-classified-documents-report
  15. Facts don’t pierce the cults bubble. There is only one godhead, his skin is the color or Doritos, and his enemies are trying to hurt me and my family. All praise. Jonestown koolaid.
  16. Perhaps Biden can benefit from all the AI deepfake-ery and position himself as the 900 year old Master Yoda just training the padawans
  17. I’d make a friendly wager with you that this changes within the next 9-12 months. It’s being actively pushed around the globe, suggesting support is greater than it is, with IMO the express intention of wedging people apart. Same things appear to be happening in Israel, India, and probably a few other countries that don’t start with the letter “I.”
  18. I believe they do, but the President has said he's running for reelection and "the Democrats" weren't asked for their opinion on the matter. Challenging a sitting president in your own party is also quite an uphill climb quite likely to fail spectacularly. She'd be more likely to lose than Biden, IMO. Please tell me how I personally can place a better presidential candidate on the ballot. Do I need to save up my UPC codes from Betty Crocker products and mail them in perhaps? Maybe dance a little jig while singing a sea shanty? The tendency is toward hypocrisy and doublespeak.
  19. If Biden were 20 years younger, he’d win by like 20+ points. He’s been a good President during hard times with a solid team. The age attack just doesn’t work for me given our candidate set since Biden had only just turned 3 when Trump was born. Biden’s old, but Trump is old and crazy and a dangerous asshole.
  20. Size of balloon and its general construction matter here, but balloons carry tens of humans at a time all the time, so of course a balloon carrying a kitten is possible.
  21. Nope. Also, sure. Whatever.
