  1. A friend of mine cracked the LCD screen on his iPod Photo by trying to open the case. Does anybody know where to order replacement parts or where you can get a new screen fitted? Apple dont do screens even if you still have the warrenty or insurance. Thanks.
  2. this person actaully sounded really serious about it. goes to show what happens when people believe everything they are told.
  3. Yea I'm fine with the way it is, really the mendeleev table has become a "standard". Now days i dont use it that much but i guess if i would have grown up with a different table then i would probably got used to that.
  4. pi aproximation day.. thats a new one
  5. thanks glider, thought i was about half right. btw i was quoting her with the word digesting!
  6. I dont know much about this subject but i think i know more about it than the person i was arguing with. The other day in school this girl who takes the "child development" class was arguing to me saying "babies cant be fed water because they cant digest it and they will die". At that point i laughed. I dont think alot of parents feed babies water, but substitute it with milk, then i thought isnt milk the babies "food"? Thanks.
  7. Although that may be a threat with terrorists and the like. I think we should be encouraging people into science, not hiding facts.

yes yesterdays stats paper was very easy - there was only a little bit of what most people would consider "real maths", the rest was more like an english exam. yea almost everyone finished it within a 1h/1h30m. wish our school would offer electronics!

    Exams

just finished my gcse statistics exam, hard work i suppose as it doesnt really interest me... atleast ill never have to hear of spearmans rank correlation coefficant!! also i dont see why they have it 2h 30m, most were done in a hour, i hate waiting for a exam to finish!
  18. i wasnt really suprised about the fattness with all the food you actually get out there... i do think places like clearwater are more like a "real" town though if you know what i mean, less tourists and less people wanting to fuss around you for the sake of a tip. by the bridge do you mean THE bridge? biggest bridge ive ever saw.
  19. most gcsc physics coursework involves an investigation into resistance of some sort. alot of schools just tell you what to do, unless you have to forbidden freedom to choose...
  20. and it is said watson and crick couldnt have done it if they handnt read schrodingers ideas in "What is life?"
  21. Anyone been/going somewhere nice this year? I just got back from orlando and clearwater. my first impresions of america were good although orlando is somewhat superficial.

    t-shirts

i wish there was a thinkgeek for england, love some of their stuff, but ive had no luck with customs as far as not taxing things... http://www.syswear.com is alright with some good tees. or like coqunia said most local compaines and some websites do custom tshirt printing. or you could just buy the iron on paper?!

    Exams

got gcse statistics in a few weeks time aswell as 3 science modules - maintainance of life, metals and electricity. modules are easy though as for one its only gcse and other it is multiple choicle colour in the cirlces knida thing... in some perspective gcse's can be harder for the more intelectual types as they have to revert back to "basic" knowledge rather than terminoligies and things they know day-to-day.
  24. im sure its under waves and radiation, unless we do more stuff in our school. and i totall agree with you there drac - were not tought science, where tought how to throw up information that the government want us to know.
