How do I delete my account? I was thinking of asking an administrator or moderator but they are probably too busy moderation or doing administration. i did not want to burden them with questions. I want to delete it because I'm not sure how much im going to use it. I used it a lot in college but now I work a lot and i dont have as much time to pursue my interest in science.

Absolutely not, that's what we want to avoid. It would ruin the threads you were involved in, make them look strange with remarks out of context and replies to quotes that are no longer there.
Can I suggest that the "clean slate" concept is overrated? You're much more interesting as a person who has made mistakes and learned from them, than as a clean slate with no history. The past is present in you now, and will be into the future. And really, there are no dumb questions. Questions illuminate our ignorance so it can be fixed.
I wish you the absolute best of luck. If you aren't too busy, please stop by sometime. We can be a good reference for learning even if you don't want to participate in the discussions.

My cousin Jeff Stewart died this morning. Jeff was more than a cousin, he was my brother in so many ways, the way only a real brother can be. One of the few people I have ever known who was basically a good person no matter what situation he found himself in. It's difficult to wrap my head around the fact a world can exist without Jeff in it.

So you want to keep it scientific, but only under the narrow restraints you think you understand, and we're just supposed to have blind faith in your god. Sorry, but that's not reasonable.
If you weren't afraid of criticism, you'd probably start a thread on this instead of hiding in the limited messaging system. And you've been shown where you're wrong already. Pretending those replies don't exist is intellectually dishonest.

Representatives from the parking lot drainage pond alligators union, local 666, are demanding to be evacuated to higher ground. They claim human climate change has resulted in 20" more rain having fallen so far this year than usually falls in an entire year. It's not known how much longer the chain link fences surrounding the drainage ponds will hold them in as rainfall continues... More on the six o'clock news...

It sounds like you've encountered minor peer review before and had some ideas heavily criticized. I hope you realize the distinction between attacking ideas and attacking people.
So if I start a discussion for you, what is it exactly you'd like to talk about regarding "the Rice Experiment"? What does it claim to show? What is the big deal about this experiment, and why do you think people are afraid of it? If you don't couch the whole thing in terms of conspiracy, you'll remove a great deal of initial criticism.

"Real" being a word here that means "weak", as in poorly supported, badly reasoned, or misinformed.
Your argument seems to be "You guy have never talked about this, so instead of opening a thread where the experiment could be examined critically and discussed, I'm going to simply claim you're afraid of truth." Is that about it?
Are you hiding? I admit I don't spend hardly any time in Status Updates. The science discussions don't happen here.

Isn't this your status update? Why aren't you defending this experiment in a discussion? Real scientists don't hide like this. They discuss with peers.
Is this the experiment where you keep splitting off rice into different containers so it picks up more bacteria and goes bad faster, but they claim it's because of prayer mumbo jumbo, or bad words written in the rice, is that the one?
I can see why you didn't open a thread on it.

A shame I don’t have a girlfriend, because currently I have to do science stuff alone. It really sucks because I keep seeing pictures of people hanging out and asking each other to dances and I keep thinking “Why didn’t they invite me? How did this new kid that just came here get invited and I didn’t? I barely have any friends, and I can’t seem to get a girl. I don’t really have any male friends, but I’m friends with a lot of girls, but none of them ever want to even consider taking it to the next level. I always feel left out, and I can never fit in.

I got a flu shot quite some time ago that seemed to give me the flu (probably already sick with it), and for many years I didn't get the vaccines. I was lucky for a long time, but a few years back it clobbered me good, bed for six days straight (Netflix and tea are all I remember). I get a flu every year now. There's no co-pay either, so it's all free.
