I've never had anyone call me anything bad without them just joking about it, but usually, the worst is when they don't say anything. It's much worse when they just stare at your direction with nothing but loathing or some other emotion like that. Or even just laughing behind your back when you walk by (both has happened to me). When they say that you are an "intellectual snob" or anything else related to that, at least they're admitting that you're smart.

Well, there was this "Tripod" set that I had, where you grow creatures with three eyes within 3 weeks. It even gave you tools to look at them as they grew. I had a blast with it. Kind of like seamonkeys.

From what I've heard on Discovery Channel specials about this, and from what I've read, they say that your personal preference is dependent on what you found pleasing during your childhood. I guess it'd be like if you liked your mom a lot, who was a brunette, then later on in life, you'd find people who were brunettes more attractive. I'm not entirely sure of the legitimacy, since studies on this might be extremely varied, but it's what I've read and heard.

I figured this by taking one of the four dollars, and splitting it into loose change. I made sure I can make all of the other amounts with it as well. nickel + penny = 6 cents three dimes + nickel = 35 cents EVERYTHING = 4 dollars two dimes + two pennies = 12 cents two quarters + one dime + one nickel + three pennies = 68 cents That is my workings of it. Once again, not sure if I understood it the way you meant it. If not, then I guess I'll say 1, since only one word there (cents, c, dollars, Cents, and $) matches the original (cents)

I've played Perfection as a kid, and I loved it. It requires good memory skills and good hand-eye coordination. It's also timed, so it makes it harder, and instills even better learning for the child.

I noticed that you had the same riddle told in another thread not too long ago. That, and the fact that a thread like this existed before, and died... Two sons, two fathers and a grandfather all went out fishing. Altogether, they caught three fish, and went home. (Evidently, it wasn't a good day to go fishing.) How can they split the fish evenly so that every man gets the same amount of fish? ALTERNATIVELY: Two daughters, two mothers, and a grandmother all go out to eat, but only have enough money to buy three salads. (Not too rich, are they?) How can they split the salads so that every woman gets the same amount of salad?

Well, I have a friend that owns a PC, and a Mac, and he loathes his Mac to death. However, it's the only machine that he prefers to play World of Warcraft on. It's also a laptop. I'm a PC user, and I think I'd prefer it, but I don't plan to switch to Vista anytime soon. XP is for me. But my classmates and I have had a running joke about the Mac. I'm not fond of the one button mouse...

And how is it nature worship when atheism is not a religion? From what I know, to "worship" something is strictly related to a religion. But to keep to this topic, my dad is a Christian, and I am an atheist. But when I was younger, I would go to church often. But I found the sermons boring because most went against what I believed and rose a lot of questions in my head. Science helped me answer those. Well, most. My dad keeps trying to tell me on a monthly basis that I should put my faith into something, or else when I die, I won't ascend. But according to Family Guy, I don't think I'll mind...

Mine is a relatively short story, that happened a relatively long time ago. When I was younger, I liked the gamecube that nintendo had released, so I wanted to update my name. If you spell it out, it reads "preferred gc". GC being gamecube of course. I couldn't forget it, so I used it for everything.

I plan on going to this school, and I want to know if anyone else here has been there, went there, and what opinions you have about it. I also want to know how good of a program it is. If you get a Firefox browser, you can download an add-on called Unplugg, and it rips any media off of a webpage. I only use it for Flash movies, but I'm sure it works for YouTube movies as well. Also, it's free. Just go to the Mozilla site.

I think at this point, we're talking about high school students taking college classes... That, and the original question hasn't been answered yet, and if no one is even here for what he's asking, then he'll get no answer, so I think it'll stay like that...

Well, if you're dying to know, it says "GO AWAY!!!" underneath it. But that's great! I'm also in a sort of advanced class. I was placed in this AIG (Academically/Intellectually Gifted) class in the fourth grade, and now I'm in the tenth. I take college classes now, but it's my first year taking more than one at a time. I don't think it's too overrated. It shows how many people are actually willing to continue their education!

Neither do I. Probably an acronym of some sort.

Well, earlier this year, I saw some sort of light. At first I thought it was an airplane (it was dusk), until it turned to the opposite direction, then went back where it was going. It even made the local news! But I think the local scientists once again claimed "shooting star". I want to know, because it sure wasn't a shooting star, with it doubling back on itself...
