The ideology did cause the killing. Those that tried and failed to make communism work are to blame. The concept has only produced suffering and anyone who espouses such an ideology is complicit. How may people are killed because someone steals money out of the poor jar. Anywhere close to 100 million? How many are imprisoned and made into slaves. This is a science forum. In science you look at the data to prove a hypothesis. Communism produces suffering, death, political imprisonment, and slave labor. It has every time the experiment has been run. Only the insane do the same thing over and over again expecting different results.

It's never hard to find a communist apologist. Nazism is clearly horrible but Communism is not? Nearly 100 million dead but somehow not clearly horrible? How many millions of deaths, political prisoners, and slave labor camps does it take to be identified as clearly horrible in your mind? Good intentions and Utopian ideals should only be judged by the results they produce. The Ukrainian famine was not accident. It was caused through intentional acts by communists. The Irish potato famine was caused by a fungus (Phytophthora infestans). Both fascism and communism result in a "strong autocratic leader, typically mixed with strong elements of nationalism." But communism should be let of the hook because it has Utopian ideals about equality? No rational person would agree with such a statement.

Legitimate points but a full accounting of both sides needs to be made and done by people without biases and exaggerations. If it is not done that way then the truth doesn't matter.

Yes, what you state above is the truth. The point you are missing however is that employing more people to produce the same amount of energy is not a good thing. You are talking about reducing productivity. That will not create economic benefits, but economic hardship. Amazon is increasing retail productivity. That is good for the economy. That is why no one is complaining.

I have made this point on science forums more than once. Sure they write a bigger check to government but they get that money from their consumers in the middle class. Those that argue against this point must know it is true, but they don't care, because they simply want more tax revenue for the government.

My guess is you mean true altruism where you reach into your own pocket and give money to a worthy cause. Like your local food bank, or a homeless shelter. If not that putting your own back into improving the community through volunteer work. If so I agree completely.

The context of my comment was that Bernie Sanders may have been president today had it not been for Hillary Clinton rigging the primary. Hillary Clinton was an unelectable candidate. Her need to rig the primaries further proves that point. the fact that the nation elected Trump shows the electorate's desire for significant change. Hillary was simply a old boring mostly empty jar or mayonnaise. Bernie had much greater appeal to the general electorate. Had Bernie won, we wouldn't be talking about Trump would we? Now we have Hillary parading around on her book tour acting like the queen bee of the Democratic party. Let's face it. She is a loser. She lost to Trump for Christ sake. The Democratic party needs to be shuck of her. Democrats like Donna Brazile and Elizabeth Warren want her to shut up and go away. The Democratic party is having an internal war. Will it result in a third party? My guess is a revamped Democratic party. That however may not work out since the Democratic party has too much PC garbage to purge. My guess is it will simply fade away and be replaced by a new more sensible party.

Brazile seems to be starting out by driving a stake through the heart of the Clinton faction of the Democratic party. About time in my opinion.

I made no mention of Trump. It is you that are conflating the two issues. I don't think they are related at all. This issue is being brought to national attention by Donna Brazile not me. I"m not sure who your are referring to when you say "us". Is it the American people or the Democratic Party. From your previous post, I would say you have great respect and admiration for Elizabeth Warren. If I recall correctly, you had hopes she would run for president. She feels the primary was rigged. Does her agreement that the process was rigged change your opinion of either Ms. Warren or Ms. Clinton? I don't see Donna Brazile as a person seeking to distract from Trump issues. Can you? If Trump broke the law in any way with regard to the campaign or the election, of course he should be impeached. That would be a high crime or misdemeanor. My opinion on that however is irrelevant. The constitution would require Trump's impeachment at that point.
