    How do I delete my account? I was thinking of asking an administrator or moderator but they are probably too busy moderation or doing administration. i did not want to burden them with questions. I want to delete it because I'm not sure how much im going to use it. I used it a lot in college but now I work a lot and i dont have as much time to pursue my interest in science.

      If you want the easiest way, as well as the way that gives the broadest range of choice for the future, simply do nothing. The account is only active if you post on it. Lots of folks go away for a while, and then come back to talk about something that sparked their curiosity.

      Closing the account doesn't make your posts disappear.

      I'm not exactly sure what you want. Voluntarily closing the account looks exactly like not coming here and never posting again. What do you want to happen?
