If you like sci-fi, you can't go wrong with enders game. Theirs a second one I think i'll be getting around to reading it soon.

Better late than never but I suggest the Gaean trilogy by John Varley. Outrageous genetic engineering in Science fiction.

Will give Varley a bash. I loved Enders Game. Audiblized (I know it doesnt exist) Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon as well - good fun

I am very lucky with my job - a large proportion of it is being entertained by brokers - and sometimes it gets messy.

Not being totally logical I never considered (or neither!) lol. I was given an electric bike as a present a couple of years ago - but being retired it only comes out now and again on a nice day.

For the first time ever we have just had a thunder storm with hail the size of marbles and enough water in 15 minutes or so to flood my drive. Don't upset Him/Her!

I think the problem is that they havent done any maintenance since then! Water main flooded the tunnels around Stratford. Back to normal now

I can tell you this from experience. If you are in hospital with a catheter fitted leading to a container on the left side of your bed its a very bad idea to jump out of the right side of the bed when the nurse comes round with the bedtime drink! Tears in your eyes doesn't come near!
