Have you lost your mind? Is it not possible to admire a quality about somebody and still reject his opinions? While we are on the topic of Nazis I might as well also add that I admire Hitler's leadership skills. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't murder Hitler if I had the chance to go back in time 75 years. There isn't a person in this world who doesn't have bad qualities, that doesn't mean we should also ignore everybody's good qualities; we would end up hating the entire world, which I have no doubt many of us do. I find it disgusting that you seem to considering yourself better than him. By doing so you are no better than him in that your are teaching people to hate an entire group of people who have similar ideas. Why is it better for you to hate than it is for him? Because you consider yourself to be superior and to be right. Wrong, your reasoning is flawed. He's not going to change any body's mind. Hes not going to convert anybody to his ideals. The only people who are going to agree and follow him are people that already have similar ideals. People are inherently racist. Hes not going to suddenly convert everybody to racism. Wrong again. The only kids who are going to listen to him are the kids who were taught by their PARENTS to be racist. Again, people do not suddenly change morals and ideals. This forum is proof; how many creationists have converted atheists? How many atheists have converted creationists? None. You underestimate the innate stubbornness of humans. The only problem comes in when parents are no longer parents and instead let their kids be raised by society. But, this isn't a problem with Crook, this is a problem with parents. I would be much more worried about the growing number of kids without parents than some idiot on the internet who is begging for attention (which many you happily give him).

The problem is that just because somebody didn't intent for a comment to be rude doesn't actually mean it wasn't rude. I might consider your comment to be rude. Who is to decide what is rude and what is not? What if he considered the comments made by civil rights activists to be rude? Does that mean they should have been forced though lots of classes to enforce political correctness on them? It's just too subjective.

No. Why would I be? Of course I think hes an idiot, but why should I be upset over it? I don't even think he has done anything wrong. He is entitled to his opinion which I reject as my own. It takes energy to make solar cells and batteries. The energy that is no longer being sent to your house is now being sent to the factories that are making the cells. You're not actually saving energy. Also, if demand goes up then cost also goes up which is one of the reasons you see gas prices rise after disasters.

I don't understand, YT2095, what else you expect Bush to do. There is NO possible way to fix this problem in 24 hours. Even if Bush used his magic wand to fix the levees it would still take MONTHS to drain the water alone. Do you think Bush should be swimming through the canal with a sandbag to help repair the levy? In New Orleans there are even more complications, such as criminals shooting at rescue helicopters and burning the remaining buildings. Do you expect Bush to grab a rifle and start shooting the citizens of New Orleans? For God's sake, what the hell do you want him to do?? I applaud Bush for what he has done thus far.

I really don't know much about hybrid cars but I find it very hard to believe that they use a battery capable of supplying 500V at 100+ amps. This battery would need hundreds of cells and would be absolutely massive, weighing hundreds of pounds. Can you show me a similar battery?

Looks like maybe the rubber is oxidizing. The only way to prevent it is to store it in an inert atmosphere such as argon or mineral oil. I have a feeling you would prefer not to keep your shoes under mineral oil though. Either way, the process is irreversible without ruining the shoes.
