  1. Indeed. but not just pepperspray the DoD military pepper spray is many times more potent then the spray civilian law enforcement uses. I stopped breathing at one point and I was pretty sure I was going to die. Then I accidentally snotted on my arm and my arm started burning and I instinctively grabbed my arm transferring all the OC from my fingers onto my arm. I was pretty sure my arm was going to fall off. It finally goes away after a few hours so I'm thinking, phew that was the worst experience of my life. Good thing this certificate will keep me from ever having to do it again. Time for a shower. too bad it all reactivates on contact with water. I had to wear underwear in the shower to prevent it from dripping onto my groin area. Funny story, one guy after hearing how bad showering was decides he's not going to shower. All was well until we had a group run the next morning. First he started sweating. then it started raining. You could hear him moaning on the other side of the compound.
  2. Sorry to bring back a dead thread but I was looking through old posts and I saw this: And I started thinking how incredibly naive I was when I wrote this. A level 1 Department of Defense exposure to OC was by far the most painful thing I could ever imagine. The females in my unit who have had kids said they would rather go through natural child birth again the be sprayed again. And I thought being tazed was bad...
  3. Does anybody actually believe the US is going to risk pulling out ALL troops anytime in the near future?
  4. Nah it doesn't matter. To be honest I'm pretty ignorant to the situation. I have been completely cut off from the outside world for the last six months due to training.
  5. Not so much. It seems to me that some people have developed the opinion that we have overextended our reach and that we should not be so involved in policing the rest of the world, as with Iraq. Ever watch the movie Team America: World Police? But on the other hand we have Kosovo and it seems to be overlooked that we currently have a huge force mobilized there. My state's national guard is now facing the largest deployment since WWII... to Kosovo.
  6. I never said you should. That never stopped the rest of the world from being pissed off at the troops we sent to Iraq. Whether they should or should not care is irrelevant because the fact is that the rest of the world does care.
  7. Why is it that everybody is so freaking happy about Kosovo but nobody gives two shits about Iraq. Does nobody realize that in camp bondsteel alone there are more than 13,000 troops mobilized. One of the largest freaking military camps in the world. ---------- Moderator Note: This thread was broken off from the Kosovo independence thread, and this post should be viewed in that light.
  8. One time I built a railgun powered by magic. It was pretty sweet.
  9. That seems logical but it does not require large quantities of a substance to create an addiction. Half a beer every night can also create addiction.
  10. Why are some of us extremely susceptible to addiction and others are not?
  11. In Germany, they first came for the communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a communist. Then, they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew … Then they came for the Catholics. I didn't speak up then because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak up. – Reverend Martin Niemoller, German Lutheran pastor arrested by the Gestapo in 1937. When they took the 4th Amendment, I was quiet because I didn't deal drugs. When they took the 6th Amendment, I was quiet because I am innocent. When they took the 2nd Amendment, I was quiet because I don't own a gun. Now they have taken the 1st Amendment, and I can only be quiet. – Lyle Myhr

    Dating

Ask her if she wants to hang out sometime. Is she says sure then ask for her phone number (regardless of whether you already have it). Basic rules of dating: 1) people don't change, so don't go into a relationship with the intent of helping another person 2) NEVER change yourself for another person. If somebody doesn't like you the way you are then that is their problem, NOT yours. 3) If somebody rejects you then it is their loss and don't deserve you anyway. Also, if you don't value yourself why should anybody else. If you see yourself as a loser why would anybody see you as anything else? You must change your self image before the outer.
  13. whoa. I don't think I have ever been given away as a gift before. I guess that's a good thing considering I might result in a lawsuit if I had. Does this mean I'm not required to get you a seperate gift?
  14. You could make oscillations by dragging a nail across a steel file.
  15. I have seen the 5V rail of an ATX PSU completly melt the standand insulation and burn up the wire before shutting down. The 5V rail will supply a massive surge of current when shorted, easily enough to cause general mayhem and damage.

  18. NaOH is about as sterile as you can get. It's not usually used as a disinfectant because of it's charming ability to completely destroy exposed skin.
  19. YT2095 is the type of guy that would make a really bad enemy but a really good friend.
