1. I'm just curious to know opinions, and bear with me because I may just be ignorant, But It stands to reason for me that the only possible cause of morbid obesity is consuming too many calories, If you don't put somthing in your body cannot very well produce fat. I just have a few friends who fit in this category and have heard everything from underlying genetic conditions to "I don't eat that much" etc. I completely understand food addiction, or gorging etc. but if these people cannot acknowledge to themselves that the cause is over indulgence then they're not going to get healthy. Just my opinion. What is yours?
2. I commend you too we live in such a throw away society nowadays it's nice to hear of someone repairing somthing instead of tossing it and buying new.
3. I'm rather partial to the radio frequency Idea I watched an experiment once I think on a show called myth busters wherein the proved by tapping into an objects frequency very little energy could set an extremely large bridge vibrating. They used a compact "pendulum" like device which maybe weighed a few pounds that could be adjusted to the frequency of the bridge and they set the whole thing vibrating, one has to speculate this energy could be converted into a power source and since it is IMO amplified power it could be argued as a free energy source.
4. Sounds like the murderer likely got off on a Caffeine psychosis defense, which is an actual condition but the amounts to induce it are enormous, in criminal law "he who has the swiftest lawyer and enough money wins" It's all about proving BEYOND reasonable doubt, in order to be convicted. In civil law there is more leeway. probably most likely can be enough to be found guilty but not in criminal law, In criminal law the prosecution needs to be solid in there case.
5. In my definition to be a genius one has to constantly generate new ideas and concepts that are BOTH feasible and functional or one has to excel so greatly in a given area that there results are mind boggling. All of us are capable of developing new ideas and concepts which we believe could change the world or better somthing but if it's proven wrong scientifically it's not genius it's just a creative idea that would never work.
6. Wikipedia isn't overly informative I know someone who was taken to hospital with severe chest pains they did a blood test and his level was 55. Forty is supposed to be toxic, as in stopped heart, So how could he hold so much booze I was with him he was coherrent like he'd only had a few drinks, Definitely an alcohol abuser but why if 40 is toxic isn't he dead?
7. Well to me Scientology seems to reject main stream medical science in favor of a more holistic approach, no great in depth study on my part though just "at a glance" I for 1 am in favor of naturopathic medecine but yeah..............just why do people sign away entire fortunes to this religion???????? sounds like a cult to me purely based on this finding.
8. So my Doctor has taken me off of Atypical anti psychotics (namely invega) and has decided to treat underlying anxiety with a drug called Celexa. I am actually rather excited because this drug is known to cause a condition called anorgasmia in which you have great difficulty achieving orgasm, since I thoroughly enjoy foreplay and orgasm denial (I like to be sexually aroused for long periods of time) I think it's a great choice. So I was just wondering if anyone knows first hand about these "side effects" , how often they occur in patients and perhaps a first hand account of anorgasmia cause it sounds like a wonderful condition to have for a guy like me. Thanks in advance.
9. Well it's undeniable the earth is heating up thats a given measurable fact where my skepticism lies is if it's somthing we're doing or is it a natural cycle we're minorly contributing to?
10. I can't see you making it a week without some form of stimulant and even then your going to be subject to micro sleeps, This I believe is what induces a psychotic state because you cannot differentiate between wakefulness and sleep. I've done this first hand with enormous amounts of coffee and nicotine so be careful I have a recurring psychotic illness now which I never had before this experience, however my sleep deprivation lasted longer than a week and coincided with starvation, Isolation and of course mental and physical stress. First sign of trouble and I suggest you get out.
11. Well it's true at least 5 out of 7 days I eat a bag of Uncle Ray's potato chips about 150 grams which is slightly less than 800 calories or a box of Kraft dinner the other days vary I could eat a 3 piece meal at KFC could eat a half pound of bacon on 2 white bread sandwich's could eat a medium delissio pizza who knows. These I know are pretty calorie dense so I would have to agree that there is "carry over" calories to some degree but most day's it's 800 calories.
12. Interesting idea ...........but not silent and it adds alot of weight. The Idea behind magnetic levitation is to reduce friction, you still have the rest of the lengths of blade chopping through the air, I also think they need the flexibility and vibration you have just taken away.
13. OK I eat like crap people I average around 800 Calories a day be it a box of Kraft dinner or a 150 gram bag of potato chips. Somtimes I change over to large salads for awhile or I'll go to KFC. I only eat once a day unless I'm hung over then I cure it with Chocolate milk and pizza pops a couple times a day. I take ginseng and a few sexual health herbs so anyway............Modern science says a person needs 2000 calories a day to live and less is going to lead to weight loss. I walk everyday maybe a few kilometres more if it's nice so........I'm about 150-160 lb 5 ft 10 and I know it's not healthy but I'm doing fine so why is this? All medical science I have read says 800 calories is a starvation diet. And mine, because of the potato chips is pretty high in fat that much is certain not valuable nutrition. I am going to switch to healthier foods because I have a small tire I need to flatten out but I feel with modern nutritional science it shouldn't matter, With only 800 on average calories per day I should be thin as a rail regardless of nutritional value.
14. Still sounds suspicious, I'm not alleging anything here but who's to say you yourself didn't place the drugs there in an elaborate attempt to put the blame on someone else in a twisted attempt at revenge? That would be my first suspicion because of the lengths your going to to gather evidence. You would still just have the type of drug not anything concrete proving someone is doing anything. Remember with law you must prove BEYOND reasonable doubt. I'd be more inclined to purchase a "nanny cam" and carefully place it where you can see whats going on with the milk. This would fall into your hundred dollar budget they are very small. Once you see where the perpetrator places the milk to put drugs in it you can move the nanny cam to that area and get a face shot clearly showing them putting the drugs in and there you have them red handed. Once you have this the police will run extensive testing to determine EXACTLY what the substance is at no cost to you. That would be how I would do it. I cannot emphasize enough how "fishy" conspiracy theories are without real proof. People are just going to think your paranoid and give the story no credibility. I know it sucks but thats just the way it is.
15. Well in the spirit let us not forget what happened to poor old Don Quixote when you let your imagination run wid and become obsessed with an idea perhaps this can very much trigger psychosis, but is it the social isolation? is it the lack of physical care? is it lack of sleep? all things that come about when someone becomes obsessed with a particular idea and ignoores all else.
16. Perhaps your very susceptible to tryptophan which is in milk or the "crash" from the tea is hard on you. I gave up caffeine because 1/2 an hour after drinking some I was exhausted. There are so many possibilities for your symptoms and these should be ruled out first. Talk to your doctor about the effects you experience and they should have a better idea in which direction to look. Could be MS, could be circulatory issues, could be severe depression could be alot of things, None of s are very happy when strange things happen to our bodies and yes somtimes we think the worst We want to find a solution very quickly If I were you I would go see the doctor and tell them the symptoms. There's also a condition called sleep paralysis where for a while after waking up you cannot move, It's as if your brain wakes up but your body doesn't I have just listed 4 possible causes that are more probable than someone drugging you and I am by no means a physician.
17. Well we're also impatient, we don't want to move slower we want to move faster. Slowing down does improve mileage most definitely but it needs to be accepted across the board, If your late are you gonna travel slower? Energy conservation is all about getting the most out of fuel used, If everyone capable resolved to use public transportation as often as possible that would be a great stride. If we super insulated homes and turned off electrical appliances when not in use etc etc. But the vast majority do not quite understand how serious the issue is. Most of us are guilty of not feeling minor inconveniences are worth the bit of energy it saves so we don't.
18. I decided on this topic because I have heard nothing but good things about them (other than Canada banning importation) So I was looking for opinions on both sides if they are good or bad, For those who don't know an electronic cigarette heats up a substance in an inhalable cartridge and produces a vapour and flavour similar to a cigarette. They are marketed as a stop smoking aid. I don't know the entire list of ingredients I'm sure someone else here more adept at finding things will add it. but I know the primary ingredient is Glycol. I really think it will help me to stop smoking by allowing me to puff away when I really just want a smoke and only allowing myself small doses of nicotine from a nicotine inhaler. it will basically replace the hand to mouth need and the flavour i hope will satisfy cravings. Most cigarettes in a day that a smoker has are not needed for the addiction they are just habitual. Your body needs less nicotine to satiate cravings than what you give it. I'm only speaking from my personal experience no citing of a study that proved this but I know I smoke alot less and don't miss it when i am not around smokers or other "Triggers" But I'm also not stupid to go blindly putting things into my body, I think they are harmless and the Government here just wants in on the action. SO whats your opinion?
19. OK now this is a rather ridiculous misconception you've come up with.........Excuse the graphic mental pictures my post may produce but I have been with women who we will call "gushers" or "squirters" They can indeed have multiple orgasms often well before the male counterpart and the huge amount of liquid generated is IMO undeniable proof of a female orgasm. AND the female also becomes super sensitive to clitoral stimulation and dry (female refractory period) for a little while after. I would also like to mention it is possible to produce the "gush" in virtually any female it's all a matter of unlocking the secret combination. But Female orgasm 101.......find the clitoris and so as not to be vulgar.......chase the rabbit......... your mouth being the hole you chase him into and your tongue being the pursuer. I still feel this is innappropriate to post here but how else am I supposed to convince mr. inexperience that the female orgasm exists without showing him how to induce one?????
20. No I need to differ with that opinion.......if it's 100 degrees outside and your attic isn't well ventilated it's going to be more like 130 in the attic as well if it is not well ventilated you cannot take advantage of the cool night air to dissipate the hot stagnant air of the day.
21. we had 24 inches of fibreglass insulation on the attic floor at our old place but it was still sweltering hot until we installed 2 turbines to exhaust the heat and ventilate the attic. So IMO the ventilation is much more important than superb insulation.
22. So I guess I could use a radiator system similar to what comes with an outdoor wood furnace, just a tightly looped 3/8 copper line with a fan behind it more or less and have the loop buried in the ground. they are 1 inch lines for infeed and outfeed so maybe with water the length of this could be substantially shortened? Then along with some ventilating turbines in the roof and that would just about do it. Seeming as the average older house is too hot from poor ventilation in the attic.
23. No that is defeating our purpose of a passive (cheap) system, We want mother nature to do as much work for us as possible. Perhaps the O-pipe needs more volume so the air can linger underground dissipating heat longer.?
24.

ok so I read part of the article I understand your point ...........(oh ground temp is 60 degrees) ..........so perhaps a loop system would be better, instead of open ended. Hot air out from house loops around (lets increase to 100 feet of O-pipe length) and back inside. Are we getting somewhere now?
25. The soil stays at 68 degrees I do believe (if I remember what the installer of our Geothermal heat pump said) 72 is the average normal temperature we keep our homes (I find 74 just right myself) so on a 90 plus degree day if you have a source of 68 degree air I do believe it would be welcome!!!
