  1. Someone help me here. Why would anyone even suggest such a thing in the age of USB drives and DVDs? And for important data, my own daily backup routine compresses my file list, encrypts it and then emails it to my gmail account where I know it is protected by their daily backup routines.

There are no over-unity forms of energy so you never get out more than what goes in. With this substance you effectively get to store electrical energy in a combustible form. At this point we don't know how efficient or inefficient it is since the available data is pretty sparse. If real though, it would allow you to fill your gas tank from an electrical outlet instead of a hose, something that's not currently practical. For welding it could be extremely useful since now you can only use electrical current to weld things that are conductive. If real, it has some very useful applications....

But that's not what he says or claims. His website says you get a H2O Model 1500 Aquygen™ Gas Generator for $6,995 US dollars plus tax and plus shipping FOB from Cleveland, Ohio. This device will allegedly produce 1500 liters of gas per hour at a power consumption of 17 Amp using 220-240 VAC. Supposedly this unit can run continuously on 1 gallon of water for approximately 8 hours and can operate several welding stations at one time. This is also supposedly up to 90% less expensive than acetylene on actual gas cost. I guess so if you can get 12,000 liters of gas from one gallon of water in 8 hours while consuming only 31 KWH of electricity. The current rate on my own power bill is only 8.4¢ per KWH so this quantity of gas would only run me $2.60 = a gallon of water to produce with his machine. Additionally, if this gas can only exist for pico or femto seconds it certainly won't live long enough in the gas distribution system to fuel several welding stations at once. In the U.S., $6,995 is more than enough to qualify for grand theft so why aren;t they on the way to cart him off?

All I'm saying is that they are already taking people's money for these machines and you are claiming fraud. I'm just wondering why the guy hasn't been arrested yet....

So you are saying that this man and his company are defrauding people with their Model 1500 Aquygen™ Gas Generator?

Your claim is at odds with the Journal of Chemical Physics then considering this article on Photodissociation of water where the statement is made, "...and the strong effect of out-of-plane molecular rotations (K>0) on the dynamics at near linear HOH and HHO geometries...." I am not a chemist or physicist so I cannot claim that it does or does not exist but I wonder why the two chemists that published this article would reference this structure if it doesn't exist.

What is the energy required to convert HOH to HHO vs splitting H20 into H and O?

Denny Klein does appear to be a real individual so the Fox News Story is not faked as I myself assumed. Googling Denny Klein gets quite a few relevant hits...
  9. Pictures of what?
  10. I'd turn him over to the local death row population as a toy to play with and discard as they please. I'm certain they'll know as well as anyone how to make him feel like that baby did before it died....

  12. Just because religion = faith does not mean faith = religion. Faith in gravity is one example....
  13. The requirements don't say anything about the 4 digit number A being prime, only that 4 of the 5 two digit numbers are prime.
  14. How would you fill the grid with digits that are all different, the first requirement given?
  15. Not true. There are certain multiples of any digit that end in 0. Every 5th multiple of 2, 4 and 6; every other multiple of 5 and every 10th multiple of the other digits. Do not read more into your limitations than they actually state.
  16. I find this link to be pretty good at showing unread posts. It is the link I use for my bookmark to this forum.
  17. I think this article from Microsoft is pretty good too
  18. You ought to check out RefDesk.com then, they really put it all in one place
  19. I wonder how old the news would get before someone did the write up though? I think it's easier to find public news releases at universities and government agencies like national laboratories. These are intended fro publication and circulation so you can post the whole article as written; no need to write anything. Just my 2¢,
  20. I would add that you can only post "fair use" excerpts of copyrighted material from such journals with a link back to the complete article. With public news release type stories you can publish the entire story

  22. Well, it was officially a war and it actually started with the first Iraqi invasion. There was a conditional surrender but Saddam failed to stick with the conditions. I don't know if it was officially declared to be over but the war was against the now deposed, former regime, so it's kind of hard to still be at war with it since it doesn't exist any more. There is a new government now and they did ask us to remain on the condition that we would leave when asked. We agreed and so far we've not been asked to leave.
  23. I thought the war was technically over already and we're simply there at the request of the Iraqi's and their new government to help with security and training.
