  1. As mentioned, I'm using M-Theory which has 11 dimensions (I'm pretty sure anyway). I'm making an assumption that all the extras beyond the basic 4 are thought to be of the type that are tightly curled up at the string level (size). I know that this is just one idea about where they are, I guess I mean that the 11th one M-Theory adds is no different from the other extras.

There is a video on you tube incorparating paralell universes and describing the 10 dimensions with pictures and stuff i will give a link, it might not be correct.

  2. :confused:Some say time is the movement of earth around the sun and the earths axis.

Some believe in the space-time continuum.

    Others believe in different things.

What about ageing of matter or shall i say existance of matter and the laws of physics. Could that be time? Here is an example if all forces and matter stoped to interact and spin would time carry on?

Please state yours vieves upon this subject

(i am aware of the laser experiments involving the sun and all that)

  3. Question 3:

Is the expansion of space between galactic clusters driven by the creation of new space/time and is this related to the separation of virtual particle pairs?

I am going to use the baloon example again :)

Okay you have an uninflated baloon, draw two dots right next to each other. Then blow the baloon up, now look at the dots before the baloon was blown up they were right next to each other now they are far away.

    Baloon=Universe/multiverse

    Dot=Galactic cluster

    Thank you

  4. I don't really see the point of human-like AI. IMO, general intelligence is enough. We don't need machines with emotions(see Terminator, Battlestar Galactica, and Matrix as well as several others).

I would do it just to see that if we can do it.

  5. Edit: The universe is expanding at an ever accelerating rate. This must be caused by something also expanding at this rate. Are there any other candidates?

I belive the universe is just like a blast wave, it continues to expand untill it runs out of energy which in this case in dark matter. But i dont understand what makes the expansion speed accelerate.

Thank you and have a nice day

  6. I agree that there is Global Warming, but what from I dont know. Is it from the effect of green house gasses, maybe so seen as as we went in to the industrial age the CO2 aswell as the Temp went up (reletive to the CO2 levels). Or is it a natural cycle in which the earth if going through, could be seen as people were growwing grapes in north England (14th century). Or maybe it is both.

    Hello!

Here is a topic that maybe hot on our tails in about 50 years, AI.

Okay first for AI to come to life we need full knowlege of the human brain, this includes emotions, thought, institinct and so on. 2nd we need enough computing power to code the complexity of the human brain (we would start small e.g mouse) in a "robot".

Now i will discuss how the second aspect could be plausable in 50 year. We are now developing quantum computers, these computers are at their developing stage. About a few years ago 7 atoms figures at 5x3=15. Now that might not seem much but we are only talking about 7 atoms seen as there are millions of atoms in a mm we are talking about billions of terrabytes of computing. This is only re enforced by Moore's Law.

Moore's Law is long-term trend in the history of computing hardware, in which the number of transistors that can be placed on an integrated circuit has doubled approximately every two years. Rather than being a naturally-occurring "law" that cannot be controlled, however, Moore's Law is effectively a business practice in which the advancement of transistor counts occurs at a fixed rate.

The capabilities of many digital electronic devices are strongly linked to Moore's law: processing speed, memory capacity, sensors and even the number and size of pixels in digital cameras. All of these are improving at exponential rates as well. This has dramatically increased the usefulness of digital electronics in nearly every segment of the world economy.Moore's law precisely describes a driving force of technological and social change in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.

Now for the 1st acpect that can make this plausable. Neuroscience has already identified many neurons, and the parts of the brain that code for certain aspects of our being. It is only a matter of time before we completely map the Human brain.

    Thank you and please discuss

  8. Making Sodium acetate is pretty easy all you need is:

1.500ml of white vinegar 4.5%-5% concentration

    2.Baking soda

    3. Pan

    4. Heat

    Steps:

    1. Pour 500ml of white vinegar and slowly mix it up with 35grams of baking soda.

2.Boil the mixture down to 1/10th of its original volume.

3.Take the jelly like substance out and squeeze

4.You now have sodium acetate christals

    Thank you

  9. I will re-state what I said earlier because it seems this thread has gone quite off-topic.

Nature is often violent, humanity is a by-product of nature, therefore humanity is often violent.

Humanity is not a by-product but a part of nature you dont call a plant bi-product, same goes for humanity.

It is true that humanity is voilent, this is becouse every other being is, what should make humanity different, becouse we have bigger brains? Biger brains lead to more violence. Violence is a part of life our whole existance has been from it, since the rise of first ape we have fought each other for that fruit tree now we fight for more power and money (power is the tree money is the fruit)
