  3. i have a fascination with extinction level events. they're cool.
  4. I dunno. Me being stupid = paranoid. The article just sounded weird and I was havin a weird day. I thought we were all gonna die. Edited by fafalone: References to illicit use of illegal drugs are not appropriate.
  5. I understood the chances, but I still thought there was a conspiracy and it was gonna hit us.
  6. Thanks blike. I was wrong to be paranoid.
  7. "But don't tell the grandchildren to head to the hills just yet. The odds of a collision are currently 1 in 10 million and could become even more remote with more refined calculations." :haha: If I'm not mistaken the odds keep gettin worse.
  8. lol I don't think we would be able to detour it. Why would they report on it? Something is fishy. Or I'm just a paranoid dork.
  9. I know they do but this one makes me nervous.
  10. Sorry. I dont buy the odds though, guess I wanna just see what happens after that two month observation period.
  11. Sorry for the non descriptive subject title but thats all I could say to myself. "LONDON, England (Reuters) -- A giant asteroid is heading for Earth and could hit in 2014, U.S. astronomers have warned British space monitors. But for those fearing Armageddon, don't be alarmed -- the chances of a catastrophic collision are just one in 909,000. Asteroid "2003 QQ47" will be closely monitored over the next two months. Its potential strike date is March 21, 2014, but astronomers say that any risk of impact is likely to decrease as further data is gathered. On impact, it could have the effect of 20 million Hiroshima atomic bombs, a spokesman for the British government's Near Earth Object Information Centre told BBC radio. The Centre issued the warning about the asteroid after the giant rock was first observed in New Mexico by the Lincoln Near Earth Asteroid Research Program. "The Near Earth Object will be observable from Earth for the next two months and astronomers will continue to track it over this period," said Dr Alan Fitzsimmons, one of the expert team advising the Centre. Asteroids such as 2003 QQ47 are chunks of rock left over from the formation of the solar system 4.5 billion years ago. Most are kept at a safe distance from the Earth in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. But the gravitational influence of giant planets such as Jupiter can nudge asteroids out of these safe orbits and send them plunging towards Earth" http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/space/09/02/asteroid.reut/index.html I'm not trying to be a scare monger, I'm just nervous. To me it sounds like theyre downplaying it so as not to create an alarm. What if they do the calculations, and they find out theres an even greater chance it will hit? That would kind of suck.
  12. I hear ya. I'm sorry this shit happens. You're talking about the UVF right?
  13. i'd be a damn millionaire if I did come back as one!
  14. lmao. hey, i'm not ruling anything out for the future. it's not like I have morals when it comes to something that gives you pleasure. you only live once.
  15. yeah man, it's really damn expensive if you go somewhere in las vegas with good looking women, and they're really not even that good looking. it might even be 1000, i'm not really sure, all I know is I saw one of the women on this talk show and she said she pulled in 30,000 in one week.
  16. It's legal in Nevada I think, or maybe just Las Vegas. Those women don't have to work and they're practically millionaires. It's legal in Amsterdam also. I support it being legal in Las Vegas, but personally I wouldnt spend 500 dollars on it, unless I had 500 dollars to burn lol.
  17. Yeah I'm not religious at all either. You question what you're capable of but I don't think I could participate in genocide. I mean a war where you kill soldiers is something different to me. Those wars are just part of life. But how could someone bring themselves to chop up some civilians with their machetes? How can they kill civilian children? They showed the conflict in Israel, and Northern Ireland and Rwanda, and for me what's goin on in Israel and what happened in Rwanda with the Hutu's was the worst. I gotta say it did make me cry a little.
  18. Watching this documentary really showed me how f'ed up the world is, and what a fucked up species we are. We are so selfish, to bring such horrible violence upon each other and forget all about how it affects everyone. Children were obviously the focus, and I'm not one of those people that screams "what about the children" everytime something bad happens, but it's true. They are the ones that have to live in these countries where war and murder are a part of everyday life and they're just kids. It was so fuckin sad. Mostly it just made me sad to see the horrors we're capable of. They showed the Hutu's murdering the Tutsi's in Rwanda and it was just - horrifying, thats all I can describe it as. It really made me sick. It's like shakespeare. People are enemies for the stupidest reasons, and they forget allabout what really matters in life.

    paintball

I would simply do the best I could to shoot them in the head if they wore a jacket like that lol. The paintballs can be hard if the weather is chilly enough. That sucks.
  20. this thread is hilarious and has entertained me at work.
  21. really man, I just posted in there lol.

    Ghosts?

I have a thread in the philosophy and religion forum about something weird with this liquid being on my body in a house that I lived in before. It probably should be in this thread, or atleast this forum.
  23. there are those civilizations that drew those giant forms in the earth, that you can see with like a plane overhead, but they could have just been doing that to show whatever god they thought was in the sky. they did have something that looked like a landing strip, but I don't think anything that could fly through the galaxy would need to land like an airplane. However I do think that if something smarter than us did come to earth, they would be interested in our civilization and probably want to keep coming back.
