rule of thumb for combustion...more O2
iirc' date=' the ratio for the biggest boom for gasoline is 15 parts air to 1 part gas(iirc, gasoline is only flammable in vapor form)[/quote']
soooo........ its 2 parts oxygen and 1 part hydrogen ?
...*im looking for the biggiest boom *
0 -
So, a bollon that contains 2 parts Hydogen and 1 part Oxygen. When lit will create a big boom ?
0 -
so, then wath could be used to make such a hi expostion ? and its only 2 chems

My uncule says that if you put Oxigen and Nitrogen in a bollon and light the string as soon as the string hits the bollon there will be a HUGE and very power full shockwave.
Is this true ?

ammonium nitrate makes for poor bombs
Well im trying to get Negative X actully

Is NH4NO3 ammoniume nitrate ? and is this a resonable price for it ?

I'll give you some cool experiments' date=' but please be very careful with H2O2 (35%). This is quite nasty stuff, for your skin, and it decomposes very easily. If you get some on your skin, then it'll cause almost immediately severe irritation of your skin (white stains, which itch and sting really badly)
.
Take 3 to 5 ml of 35% H2O2 and add a spatula full of solid calcium hypochlorite (the stuff, used in swimming pool). Do this in the dark. You'll see a red ghostlike glow (you get singlet oxygen, which gives a red glow, when it is converted to triplet oxygen).
Do NOT scale up this experiment!
Hydrogen peroxide forms beautifully colored peroxo complexes with many transition metal salts:
http://81.207.88.128/science/chem/exps/peroxo/index.html
Concentrated H2O2 can be used to make concentrated solutions of copper (II) chloride:
Add some copper wire to 30% HCl. It just needs to be covered by the acid.
Carefully drip in some H2O2 (35%) and swirl. Repeat, until all copper has dissolved. With the copper (II) chloride you can do more nice experiments.
Do this outside, because quite some noxious fumes of HCl and also some Cl2 are released.
Take 2 ml of 35% H2O2 and add a few crystals of KMnO4. You'll see an almost explosively violent decomposition. A lot of steam is produced! Quite spectacular, but please please do not scale up this one. Having too much H2O2 may cause the hot stuff to be swirled out of the beaker/tube!
Have fun, and stay green

Thanx for the infor *I did get a little h202 on my pinky oh boy it stinged
but ill be more carefull now

Hum, so iron oxide isent rust ?!? so what is iron oxide ? *also how to purify rust*

How to purify Iron Oxide *Rust* ?
Ok im getting rust out of a barral in my backyard
Its quite dirty but when i grind it up with my fingers it turns into a fine powder *good* but there are a lot of other things like earth and grass, so i was wondering how to get it out of there with out messing up the Iron Oxide . Well thx for that help

Is 35% H202 lab garde stuff ?
I bough some and i was wondering if there where some cool exerements with it?
Thx for the info.

add some liquid nitrogen
Lol if only i know where to get it
hehe

Try searching for: endothermic reaction freeze
If the reaction is endothermic enough' date=' you should be able to freeze the container. Here's one right here with barium hydroxide and ammonium thiocyanate:
http://chemlearn.chem.indiana.edu/demos/Endother.htm[/quote']
Thanx but its not exactly what i ment. Im talking about if lets say you had a cup of water you simply add the chemical mixit or not and then the water freez's *If this is possible*?

I did use the Search function for freezing water but i couldent find anything that actully froze water
So I ask the question again how do you Freez water using chemicals ?
Thanks for you help.

That was my take on it too. Throughout the trial' date=' the witnesses seemed to have been telling two stories, and their families were obviously exposing their own kids to this guy to get a whack at a multi-million dollar settlement.
Fair or not, a kid from that kind of family background has a problem with credibility--in my opinion.
As an observer, I can think MJ was guilty and no harm is done, but a juror is obligated to consider the defendant innocent until the prosecution proves otherwise--and that beyond any reasonable doubt.
If I had been on that jury, I probably would have had to vote not guilty too, which would have been a tough pill to swallow.[/quote']
OK! my BIGIST question is how the hell was the jury going to think for them selfs if there was a 96 PAGE !!! Rule BOOK! omg thats the most dumbest thing i have ever heard of !, Also if they couldent find that he actully sexualy assoult them. Why wosent he found guilty of giving Achohal to MINORS ?!?!?!
He confesed to the achohal charge !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

X-Chat is a good client and used frequently by those already on our chan, you could use MIRC, but frankly it sucks!
I disagree mirc is just fine, especaily for those who are just starting in irc
But xchat is for the more advanced irc user.

ooo00oooh ok thx

the question has been the topic of debate amongst my friends and I recently...
Hehe i think you forgot the Earh. The earth has the greater influence on water
hehe j/k *It keeps it all here*

That's awsome ! But can you be more specif on the ammout of chemic's for both experiments or by %'s Thanx

I obtained some Ammoniuim Chloride, I was wondering if there where some cool experiments with it ?
0 -
hehe ok second question, does pure K react with water ?
0 -
That's awsome ! Also I have kno3 but I need it to be very fine, mine are quite large sphears... Is there a safe way to grind the kno3 ? Like a ceramic bowl and a wooden stick? or is there a faster way ?
*hehe besides buying powdered kno3*-p

Thank's for the help, but I have one more question. I know Kn03 is used in a lot in the field of explosives. But its also used in rocket engines. On "AK's Experimental" *a web site of a memeber on sfn* Says that a mixture of Kn03+powdered "confectioners" sugar+corn syrup+ iron oxide+ proper mixing techinq you can get an quality rocket propellent. Is this true ?

Is potassium nitrate reactive with any liquids i.e. alcohol or water ?
Well, thx for the info

Very powerfull shock wave..
in Inorganic Chemistry

So when 2 parts oxygen and 1 part hydrogen it realy does create a very powerfull shockwave/kaboom ?
