About Me

Retired, but still learning. Spent most of my life in typography. I owned a type shop until desktop computers put me out of business. That brought on a heart attack which led to a Near Death Experience. Since then I have been writing prose and poetry about these spiritual experiences. Have written some books on Amazon under Leroy Kattein that can be read for free. I love science too, would not miss Nova or other science documentaries. I love to discuss the spiritual as well as scientific aspects of life. I just want to trade information not beliefs with others. I am comfortable with life, no axes to grind, no causes to die for. Basically I love to learn. I hope I can learn here.

I am 84-years-old, try to eat healthy, but still overweight. Go to the gym about twice a week or more if possible. Walk on the treadmill at 2.2mph for a half mile or more. Then do sitting leg presses of 220lbs. before I go home. I love life and have no fear of death. Thirty years of experience and learning about spiritual (not religious) aspects of life.

Religion and spirituality have very little in common. Religion is a group of rites, rituals and beliefs on how to worship God. Spiritual is what you are.
