Approaching infinity or approaching zero ?

How are we to make out what you actually wish to ask ?
    Come-on, you can do better.

Didn't you say infinity was not a number and infinity does not follow one??

So, you think having to follow the rules- which you agreed to when you signed up, and which apply to everyone, is unfair?

    Then leave.

At about 1 minute and 50 seconds, he (he's a scientist, BTW) says " well science knows it doesn't know everything- otherwise it would stop".

Do you see how that is related to the thread's title etc?

Maybe he should be here then..😎

Thnks for pointing that out though..

  3. It's believed that numerolgy, number theory, and cyphering "working with prime number" have become alternatives in our concept of numbers linked to:

Patterns, Trends & Financial Future Outcomes, The supposed Coding Of The Universe, Quantum Cryptography and so much more uses in Encryption...

However it does attract much criticism and im wondering if there are others scientist whom believe in its productive uses versus it's most preferred "stereotype" of divination.

These are "informal" questions for now..

All you need to understand is, you're not the cleverest person here; no one here thinks that (ego's aside).

Then you'd understand that you're conflating science with a scientist (in this thread), it takes all the scientists for science to know all that it does.

It's definitely worth eating that nasty tasting portion of humble pie; it's amazing what you come to understand, if you're willing to listen.

    Oops... 🤐

     "Science is incomplete."

There is still missing gaps in science and  one is how to reconcile all fundamental forces and what truly connects or unifies them...I'm reffering to the idea of The Theory Of Everything, The Zeroth Theorm and so many others out their...Again Science is incomplete, not my words "like your said" scientist words...

On the rest, I very much "agree" with you..

Well I think this is a perfectly reasonable question and a good one to discuss.

Also I think this is much better put than recent posts (though I would have liked the picture the right way round).

+1 for encouragement to do more of this and start wiping out those red ones.

    :)

Perhaps you will notice that there are actually two (or is it three with the negatives) infinities going one here.

There are the numbers being suqred, which are increasing one at a time

    0,1,2,3...

and there are the squares themselves

    0,1,4,9...

    Which are increasing much quickly.

What do you think about this ?

I'm glad I posted this as i seldom pay attention to the "y part" I have to admit,  because I'm under the impression the y part is + up all the time since time is always positive.

Which "prematuraliy" aimes my focus to the negative numbers doing something 'exponentially'  to the symetry of:

    y=  x^= -1

""""Not sure if it's written like that""""

    "What causes this symmetry?

    ""More on that later""

But why would I think this??

"In My Visual Opinion And Logic At Theses Higher Dimension Of Geometry."

The increasing values of x and the squared values of y appear to geometrically "visually" look like a perfect trangulized " or rendered" flat square in infinite directions of 3×2 for a "6 sided hyper cube"..But maybe that's pushing it, but its intresting to think it may look like this..

Again, I get this "idea" from:

negative numbers doing something 'exponentially'  to the symetry of x = -1....

    IE The 3rd dimension...

I cannot fully put my insight on this, untill I understand without failure more on this subject...

Since you didn't follow the above I will try to put it another way.

There is more than one infinity, in fact there are many infinities.

And every infinity has its own unique properties as well as those it might share with (some) other infinities

The word infinity is like the word sheep. It is used to refer to either a whole flock of sheep and also a particular member of that flock.

If you need to be specific, you need extra words to identify which particular sheep you mean.

It is the same for infinities.

Many so called paradoxes arise because of failure to add these extra distinguishing words.

Here is an image "from a "pre-created list of values" from y=x^2...

Do the numbers "going up" or going "down" "travel" towards infinity towards that 0 in the center??

I did not wish to imply that the lack of further guidance within the forum rules and guidelines was a failing on the part of the forum. Rather I was directing my criticism towards members who lack the self control, or experience, or good sense, or courtesy, or enlightened self interest to post only thoughtful, constrained, well constructed, logical posts. Acquiring the self control, experience, good sense etc. can be a painful experience, but it seems to me it is one where the responsibility lies primarily with the individual member paying heed to the rules, which we were all required to read before joining, and paying heed to such guidance as is offered by staff and ordinary members thereafter.

If I had a potentially important hypothesis, regardless of how excited I was about sharing it, my first step would be to explore the various ways it might be shared and  to determine what the strengths and weaknesses of each might be. I wouldn't jump on an internet forum and start spouting incoherently. But maybe that's just me.:)

Correct in many ways, but I've known so many people whom innocently share their ideas that end up being taken by others..

I notice that no-one has asked about your age, CuriousOne.

If you are under 20, you're still in the 'learning stage' of your life, and people will cut you all kinds of slack, and try to help you.

If you are between 20 and 50, people expect you to know some basics, not be so impulsive ( dare I say scatter-brained ? ) in your actions and posting style.
Once pointed out, they expect you to stop the annoying behaviour and conform, or else you soon find yourself with a sac full of neg reps, suspensions, and even banning.

If you are over 50, I gotta ask …
How did you manage to make it so far in life ??

I'm young enough to be a model for Calvin Klein and old enough to dye my hair every month, although the grey look is coming back..

I've got this far in life becuase everyone I know has fallen madly in love with me, even men.. Tough love right?? 🤣😂

I view this as a powerful incentive, to those who need it, to think carefully before posting, thus avoiding posts they might later regret. Based upon the content of some posts in some threads, however, it is not a sufficiently powerful incentive.

I agree, especially when speaking on ""incompleted theories"" that have not been previously published and or on its final edit process by the distribution publishers...

This science forum should make a "special note" on that as there are many people whom are prematurely excited to share their ideas with the world without their copyrighted information being "actually published" released and authenticated in news papers or other publicity measures.

This really is a serious issue..

Out of curiosity, when you arrive to a restaurant or to a friends house, do you also tell them how they should decorate their walls or tell them to start moving around their furniture to better suit your personal preferences over theirs?

It depends, if the restaurant owner is my friend, and I know they can sell more fries with my advice and I can have better tasting fries then why not?? We both benefit...

If their house had a potential by adding a basement and we could all play video games there "and enjoy life" then why not?? We both benefit..

This is my guess. You post like you want to disrupt what everyone else is doing so they can pay attention to you. LOTS of hijacks and off-topic posts. It's a shame, you seem very intelligent.

One of the hallmarks of the scientific mind is that it's NEVER bored. There's always something interesting, but you have to be willing to be amazed. If you start out bored and ignorant, you'll remain that way.

I 100% agree with you..except the area of disruption..

It does however go on to say that within guidelines of laws post "maybe" deleting and or removed, but copyrighted material and even patented material is still run by laws, so I missed something there...😎

    Easier for whom?

You can just not come to this site. Or you can ask us to ban you. Those are your options. That seems pretty easy. The first one requires you to literally do nothing.

What won’t happen is that we let people delete accounts, which would remove their posts, and wreak havoc with existing threads.

Even if their post are ""Copyrighted Material??""

The publisher "member" "OP" owns the rights not the forum..

Deleting posts "should be the sole right of the person whom created the post" its "published" information that they own, "unless" they copied and pasted from other sources, however I'm very sure original ideas have been brought to this forum perhaps under a copyright agreement to be shared publically with the science community..

This is why im sure members who ask to be banned on purpose wish for their material to be deleting to avoid future issues..

The e-mail also has to be valid since alteration of it requires authenticity for the new password to work, "thats asuming the forum's system is set up that way." We should just have the option to de-activate, its easier...
