I  hope you find respite, somehow.

I just saw this. I hope things are going better and your eye still improving.

      Thanks guys.
Hopefully these operations will ensure that I can keep the same ( bad ) quality of eyesight, without further losses, for the next 20 years; it has already been a 30 year battle that I was slowly losing.
Your concern and encouragement is appreciated.

  2. Quote

"Figuratively speaking, the world is multicolored; and the gravitational field produces only a black and white photograph of it, which cannot do justice to the stormy colors of nature"

      Ha ha.

I was thinking of a chain...

      Something like this

quote 1: ... something something colours of Nature --Zel'dovich

quote 2: ...colours of nature something something... tree of life --Goethe

quote 3: tree of life something something ... empty skies --Bob Dylan

      For example:

My witness is the empty sky --Jack Keruak

and see if it close in a loop or get broken at a quote that has no equally famous quote mentioning the same concept.

It was a chain... linked by Bob Dylan.

But here is a continuation of the original chain:

      Quote
When I heard the learn’d astronomer,
When the proofs, the figures, were ranged in columns before me,
When I was shown the charts and diagrams, to add, divide, and measure them,
When I sitting heard the astronomer where he lectured with much applause in the lecture-room,
How soon unaccountable I became tired and sick,
Till rising and gliding out I wander’d off by myself,
In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time,
Look’d up in perfect silence at the stars.

Tonga, you lead the way, tell us what 2022 feels like.

  5. My thought today:

The point at which some people stop paying attention to what someone has said is sometimes more revealing than their answer.

Thus, what they don't mention can be more relevant than what they do.

Is it relevant that no-one has mentioned any reply to your post ? :)

That no-one has replied or that no-one has mentioned the reply? You wrote "that no-one has mentioned the reply," but what did you mean? Now none of them is true, as someone has replied, and someone has mentioned the reply.

Space can provide more information than matter, at the requirement of scale.

That has always been the case.
Right now is probably 'better' than previous times in history.

I agree. Although scientists or science teachers must not forget to be nice to laypeople. Some of us must learn to be nice, actually. ;) Priests of the past could afford to be grumpy; we can't.
