If one takes the nine variables, a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, and i and square them all, a^2, b^2, c^2, etc. Are there numbers where there is the same distance from the middle going out? So e^2-d^2=f^2-e^2, c^2-e^2=e^2-g^2, e^2-b^2=h^2-e^2, and a^2-e^2=e^2-i^2? How would one go about finding such numbers?

So everyone knows that a^2+b^2=c^2, but is there a set of numbers where a^2+b^2=2c^2? How would one go about finding these different set of numbers?

a^2+b^2=2c^2

Yes, if we completely disregard right angled triangles and just look at a, b, and c as isolated variables.
