  1. Anti-vax march in Warsaw here today, looks like 30 thousand or more are there. Curious that the scum of the earth is associated with them and seem to live a symbiotic life - nazi preachers, agressive conspiracy theorists, extreme right preachers, etc. If I Firefighters should fill their trucks with hydrogen peroxide and use it on the protesters, scary to walk into town today.

I agree with you on all points. The only thing that saddens me is your attitude (or what I think is your attitude) about this.

No country is perfect and yes, those are all valid points but don't be so grim. I am an expat (ex-pet?) living here for the last 6 years and to be honest I have not experienced discrimination. Quite the opposite. People were always interested because I was a polar bear.  Poland is cool koti. Don't loose hope!

A lot of hate in Poland in recent years. I have seen anti-Syrian immigration rallies in Krakow in the past 2 years. Even if that's dumb in general, I find it especially dumb considering it's really not affecting Poland. :( I have not seen any Syrian immigrants in Poland. ever.

  3. Tried to rescue a Bee today...  I am way too soppy...  I fished it out of a pool of water that was probably alkaline due to the cement. I hope the little fella/girl is OK.  I put it on a leaf over the fence but it fell into the bushes.  It seemed to have some strength left in it so it might survive.  Just gotta leave it and hope it survives - it probably has more chance in the bushes than it did in the cement water.

I do this a lot with bees - I never know if they survive or not... some are just too weak. I have tried sugar solution in the past with varying successes and fail rates - Sometimes they tuck in and sometimes they are too far gone..

I guess every little helps.  :-(

"slugs"? They are homeless snails and you know it. No need for political correctness in the animal world.

hypervalent_iodine I saved so many snails in my day... Ough. Take them in the morning from the middle of the concrete (I'm talking about 20m radius hard concrete and 1-2 hours till fry time conditions), move them from the road or dumb areas that they might be going to. I discriminate and never save worms or homeless snails as they are pretty gross. If they had some sort  of dry-save handle I would do more for them but until then I try not to look at the poor bastards as unavoidable doom is shortly coming.

  5. Why is this forum so incredibly unpopular? While i cannot see statistics for guests, active registered members at any one time is at a level i would expect for a forum about albino cats.

Not really, ignorance is in fashion, it's hip to be ignorant these days. Trump is president, the Kardashians are superstars, up is down and down is up.

So you should go there and raise awareness as many people don't know how to distinguish a white cat from an albino one. This can cause problems as albino cats have special needs. Make a difference and bring something good to the cat site as I don't see your contribution to this one as being very fluffy.

Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Gauguin and many other (now) famous painters were living in poverty and became famous after their deaths. Just because something is good doesn't mean it's popular. Do you listen to  Justin Bieber? I am not judging but would you describe him as the top 10 musical artists in the world?

It's fine as it is. If this forum would be more popular, every muggle who watched ancient aliens would throw his baseless speculation and hijack threads. Kind of like how you do it sometimes :(

  13. Can anyone recommend a documentary that is not dripping with Bro-science and pseudoscience? Something light about food or anything like that. I watched too many Universe/Black hole/ Particle documentaries and I need a break. Any recommendation will be appreciated! :)

Thank you guys. I will definitely start with koti's recommendation. I forgot about wacky religion documentaries. Great!

Okay, just a state Senator. But still. Pretty cool when a government official knows you by name.

  18. Let's put all the Anti-vaccers, Flat Earthers, and Moon Hoaxers on several rockets and shoot them into the Sun... We'll inoculate everyone so they don't get sick and die on the way there, we'll make sure they orbit the Earth a few times so they can see that it's a sphere, and then we'll have the rockets fly by the Moon so they can see the lunar landing site but, after all of that, the rockets will take them to the Sun where they will never be able to infect others.

I don't think it's fair to lump anti vaccers with the other two groups. Plus that is a pretty extremist view. Be carefull not to end up as ignorant as the people you mention.
