Last day of My Polish Job today. So many days spent on the science forum from this job. I really encourage anyone who has not seen Poland first hand to visit and get to know the people and see the country. I will be back in my later years.

Was bored and listening to a podcast with Brian Cox randomly and there was a question about online science related arguments.
I spat out what I had in my mouth and was listening carefully in hopes that he would mention swansont.

Even though I have not met any of you guys in RL I dreamt yesterday that I was hanging out with a few members from the forum. Really strange dream. You guys looked like rockers but dressed business casual and the setting was an office space. I don't know why I'm sharing this haha

I miss the Medieval days where if someone was annoying you could just claw, mangle and thrash them in the face or be be mangled. Nowadays the people I want to punch are bothering me via phone, e-mail, letters, TV. It's frustrating to point a closed paw to the TV screen....

I was trying to be good and save money this year and I just got a big fine for 1 day delay in paying the car insurance. The two are not related but damn. Life has a way of kicking you when you're up... or down for that matter.

Which came first, DNA or protein?
There is Miller-Urey experiment
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miller–Urey_experiment
Did you hear about it?
If you will heat, pass current (spark in experiment, in the real world thunderbolt, lightning), cool down, then repeat, mixture of gases such as CH4, CO2, H2O, NH3, HCN, H2, N2, O2.. after a while there will be created the all kinds of organic molecules, amino acids, proteins, DNA. e.g. you can make C5H5N5 (adenine) from 5 HCN.

Can anyone recommend a documentary that is not dripping with Bro-science and pseudoscience? Something light about food or anything like that. I watched too many Universe/Black hole/ Particle documentaries and I need a break. Any recommendation will be appreciated!

It’s interesting from psychological and economical point of view...how they are able to brainwash smart (but empathetic) people into the cult and how they were able to intimidate the IRS to give them billions in tax exemption. I recommend this 2 hour interview with actor Jason Beghe, I think its actually more insightful than the HBO documentary:

If you want you can watch the videos this channel has to offer. The videos are short but they are interesting in their own way. They focus mainly on the evolutionary facet of Earths history.
