  1. I agree.

If you guess' date=' and get it wrong you'll be held to blame and not the scribbler.

In a few .au hospitals residents and doctors have to wear locators, you

can't switch these off or remove them as it is a sackable offense.

So if you need someone(in an emergency say), you know exactly

    where to find them.

It's also quite useful for bearding the rotters in whichever den they

happen to be hiding in. :D

Ofcourse you can have a doctor who then takes the sheet

with [b']his own[/b] handwriting, and looks at it, screws up his

eyes and says "I think it's 200mg," looks up into distance , "Yes,

    I remember, it's 200".

I don't know why we bother writing medications down.

Just remembering dosage schedules of the top of your head

would be so much more convenient

We are also(in many places) moving into a system, where we use

PDA's that auto-dld measurements directly from the instruments, and then update it the next time you dock the PDA.

It also has the added benefit of preventing radar observations.

And when we get labs-on-a-stick, I can see those just fitting in straight

into the PDA which will function also as a reader.

But a more pertinent question, when you see a chart note in

cursive, which consists of a horisontal line with a few indifferent

humps in it, can you even call that writing? Of any form?

    Cheers.

The PDA idea is pretty nice...what if you could make a program in which all that doctors would have to do is put in the patients disease/problem...and it comes up immediately with a list of medications suitable for the problem? The chosen medicine can than be sent directly to the pharmacy electronically. It would cut the hassle and save time.

  2. Dak-san:

Yeah that would be absolutely neat.

But in the mean time why not use the GD forumn and make a few posts in

there? e.g. One for German' date=' one for Nihongo etc. Create the volume

and the specialised forum will come :).

    Butsurigaku tanoshii desu ne.

    Cheers.[/quote']

I agree too. It would be fun to practice French there. We could also ask for help there from people who already know how to speak the language in question quite well.

there should be a pyrotechnics forum. AN incredible amount of science goes into pyrotechnics.

Pyrotechnics is part of chemistry and fits in quite well there.

I also would like to suggest a seperate forum for elementary science. There are a lot of high school students joining here now, and I think it would be a good idea for people around my age to be able to discuss and learn topics in the elementary science forum...where everything is not soooo complicated that it frightens most people away from Science Forums and Debate Network.

  3. Alright this is only stage one of our production, and it may take quite a while. Over here, you are free to debate on what our movie should be about.

However, I don't want to see any ideas with dirty content in it. Otherwise, let your imagination roll! Put in all your ideas, no matter how stupid you think it may be. We will probably end up combining many people's ideas into our story.

After our idea for our story has been decided, then I will create another thread where you can post what character you will be, etc. etc.

But right now, let's finish Stage 1! Start submitting your ideas!

  4. You say it can be added to the arcade' date=' but you realise those are not normal flash games on the arcade, they are specially modified by Vbulletin to work on a Vbulletin forum, however, you could add the game as an attachment in any thread and we could play it, I just don't think you'll be able to tie it in with the score system and everything, or at least, it'd be a lot harder!

Other than that I can do some basic stuff on Flash, like animations, I've never really made many games, or at least, not 'normal' games!!!

My prob with flash is that I can never be bothered to draw the pictures, so I just nick em from somewhere else and animate em!

I'll go into the game wherever you want, normally flash games don't have too much of a story line... and make sure sayo is the last 'boss' guy you have to kill ;)!

[edit'] you might get more help in computer science section, but it can be hard for two people to make one file unless you continually send it back and forward!

[edit2] and you are not allowed to fade away and never return like the book/novel/musical stuff kinda seems to have done. You could post one level at a time or something.

Oh I see. So than we will just make it an attachment I guess...

But it will still be fun no doubt.

Alright start posting what characters you will be. We will make this one have a storyline too.

  5. I'll do the music!

    [edit]

    And be the hero!

Ok. We will see who is ready to help out and be different types of characters. I will be the leader of the evil penguins. Plus, who over here is good with flash?

EDIT: Also post what characters you would like to be. And what job youw will do to make the game.

  6. Legend has it that Sayo was a major in the RAF at the end of WWII' date=' reassigned to a Japanese air base. A number of his fellow soldiers became romantically involved with Japanese women, in defiance of military policy. Ordinarily an officer who was by-the-book, Sayo sided with a buddy of his who fell in love with a Japanese woman and married her. Sayo risked his position by serving as best man at the wedding ceremony.

Major Sayo also fell in love, with a beautiful Matsubayashi dancer. He was asked by a reporter to comment on his proposed marriage to the Japanese woman, a move that was sure to get him kicked out of the RAF. Sayo told the reporter, "Tell 'em we said, 'Sayonara, sayonara, sayonara.'"

Sayonara³. At least, that's the story I remember hearing. Somewhere.[/quote']

Yeah, that's why he is 20+ only?

Plus, the British and the Japanese were enimies. Japanese was part of the Axis. ;)

  7. Don't feel used. My mind must have been somewhere else at the time or maybe my dual processing got mixed up. I think you guys are right. I'm going to reboot.......Sorry for the mixup. ;)

    Bettina

    Curiosity did kill the cat!

  8. Because in America, all doctors, pharmicists, etc. are all working together under a top secret government conspiracy, in which the doctors don't actually prescribe the medication as you puny citizenry so believe, but just in fact scrawls on a peice of paper. The paper is then given to the pharmicist, who randomly selects a medicine and dosage for the sick man based upon overall price and coroporate demands from the coroporate American pigs in charge. The money from this "false" buisness goes towards the building of a massive laser gun on the moon, which will be used by the government as a inter-planetary weapon capable of either a small concentrated shot to eliminate one person, or a powerful solar beam enough to destroy a big city. This weapon would be the tomorrow's ICBM weaponry for the protection of the United States.

Wow they choose pretty correctly even if it is random... ;)

  9. I finally found the time

    to bust some wicked rhymes

red alert' date=' my homie from the Canada scene,

poor guy thinks that ebola has a vaccine!

    Azure in the house now,

    gonna break some bones ow.

    heeeeeeeey,

    hooooooooo,

    heeeeeeeey

    hooooooooo.

    (Wicka, wicka)

I cannot speak in rap, but I can in iambic septameter.
