  1. Good luck! I don't read books.
  2. I'll try. Spirituality is imo used when people form new theories. A theory or model basically gives meaning to something or it explains this and its based on scientific evidence but it demands observable evidence to be 'proven'. When Einstein developed general relativity he used his spiritual mind which was fed by a huge amount of knowledge. General relativity was a theory that needed observable evidence to improve the scientific validity.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tests_of_general_relativity The same is valid for interpretations, theories and models...they demand sufficient experimental evidence to really put their mark on the world of science. Isn't this because many things in QM go in against our logic and we can't 'quantize' gravity?
  3. Correct, I changed words so you couldn't google it...but I was wrong.
  4. Chop off my head and all becomes equal. Then cut me front or back and I become second. Cut me front and back and I become two less than I started. What am I?
  5. An interpretation of quantum mechanics is an attempt to explain how the mathematical theory of quantum mechanics corresponds to reality.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interpretations_of_quantum_mechanics People often use spirituality to explain reality. Spirituality can be a way of giving meaning to or explain reality without direct scientific evidence. Quantum interpretations and quantum gravity models are based on scientific evidence but they are not scientific evidence... Quantum interpretations and quantum gravity models (Holographic principle) are rather spiritual science. They explain and give meaning to reality but are not 'proven'.
  6. Also, many people give downvotes, not for the content of the reply but because of the person that writes it. Many downvotes coffeesippin got were not deserved in any way....
  7. Aren't Quantum interpretations spiritual...in a sense?
  8. 2020 is also when Nasa launches a mars rover to steal rocks.
  9. The mission will be a pioneering look at the far side of the moon – a region that is forever hidden from the Earth, since we see the same side all of the time. Even messages cannot be relayed easily from that distant area, and it has remained unexplored by any rover.https://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/china-moon-far-side-dark-change4-landing-time-location-space-craft-a8708186.html
  10. I just watched 'Where hands touch'. It's a story of a bi-racial teen struggling for survival in Nazi Germany. It's well-acted but it's a 'heavy' movie.
  11. The ‘third pole’ is the planet’s largest reservoir of ice and snow after the Arctic and Antarctic. It encompasses the Himalaya–Hindu Kush mountain ranges and the Tibetan Plateau. The region hosts the world’s 14 highest mountains and about 100,000 square kilometres of glaciers (an area the size of Iceland). Meltwater feeds ten great rivers, including the Indus, Brahmaputra, Ganges, Yellow and Yangtze, on which almost one-fifth of the world’s population depend..https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-018-07838-4
  12. "Dan wins after running 3 kilometers" That doesn't mean Dan won the 10 km. In the Tour de France for example you can often win points/time by reaching certain goals in between start and finish as first....that doesn't mean you reached the finish as first.
  13. LMAO I'm correct, I'm talking against your emotions like usual. I'll explain it one time. When people Kill animals for the fun they use on average firearms/ammunition and a hunting license...and you need transport to get those and you need transport to go hunting. And in most countries you need to follow a course to carry firearms. Hunting is a costly hobby. When you struggle to fulfill the basic physiological needs then you don't have access to 'those things' since they are to pricy and often not even available where you live (possible in rural communities). Many forms of hunting are for rich people.
  14. True but we imo don't know who won the 10 km. We know that Dan won after running 3 km. We don't know what he exactly won. Maybe Dan won a sprint at 3km.
  15. You are largely correct But is 118(Oganesson ) really a noble gas??
  16. One number is missing from this row: 10-18-36-54-86. Which one?
  17. Thx again for that reply! Your comments are very helpful. I'm also optimistic medical science will come up with something in the not so far future. He just read a little story for new year and it was nice to hear how clear he can talk and how well he articulates, when he pays attention.
  18. I should have said 'on average'. This in no way gives bullets to guns of climate change deniers Yes, but (for example) most glaciers in the Andes, Himalaya and Rocky mountains are also in retreat The extremity in hotness is not in 'some' regions, it's in many regions.
  19. Thx for another great reply! I don't think doctors have mentioned it but the lip-reading is very good advice. They have indeed noticed he tires faster. Also it seems that his empathy and energy improved the last year and a half, it's like he interacts more and with pleasure with people….maybe it's related to 'growing older'.
