  11. Don't kid yourself that you're going to live again after you're dead; you're not. Make the most of the one life you've got. Live it to the full.

Well, I don't think I'd take joy in convincing anyone in believing that there'd be nothing after this life.

That's my opinion as well. Yet, I refuse to go into discussion with people stating the contrary ... Believing there is nothing after this may be very upsetting for some people

  14. It's not worth starting a thread for this: am I the only one bothered by the notation 120/80 mm Hg? Why not 120/80 mm Hg/mm Hg? Or 120 mm Hg / 80 mm Hg?

How do you pronounce mmHg in English? Millimetre mercury? In Dutch, it's "millimeter kwik" (kwik = mercury), which sounds very fluent; I'd take too long to say "millimetre mercury" and mmHg ("age-gee") just doesn't sound right.

According to virtually every cardiologic society, it's worse when its above 140 mmHg sys or 90 mmHg dia. The ratio you talk about is useless and only reflects the vessel compliance and resistance integrated in the wind kessel effect; it is nog illogical that the ratio differs with age, given the change in vessel compliance when ageing.

I don't like that website. It focuses too much on 120 and 80. As if that is the optimal RR. I don't have 120/80 atm, probably, but no doctor will say that I have an abnormal RR. One way to work with this is to calculate the MABP = 1/3 RR(sys) + 2/3 RR(dia)

  18. What an election. Sanders robbed of the nomination by the DNC, Clinton becomes the first man robbed of the presidency by foreign powers, and Trump hands the presidency over to Pence. It's fundamentalist Christian Capitalism from here on out.

First of all, it's Functionella. Second, if I cause dysenteria, I have no other choice.
