  1. It's not worth starting a thread for this: am I the only one bothered by the notation 120/80 mm Hg? Why not 120/80 mm Hg/mm Hg? Or 120 mm Hg / 80 mm Hg?

      How do you pronounce mmHg in English? Millimetre mercury? In Dutch, it's "millimeter kwik" (kwik = mercury), which sounds very fluent; I'd take too long to say "millimetre mercury" and mmHg ("age-gee") just doesn't sound right.

      "Millimetres mercury" or "Millimetres of mercury. All I've actually heard from UK doctors or nurses is "One-twenty over sixty" as the usual way of expressing it to me.
