Most groups enjoy testing the newbie. Not putting them down. I was the newbie here a few months ago and had similar feelings as yourself then. I took a hiatus and asked the moderators to suspend my account for a month. Which meant I could just be a fly on the wall and observe how people interact and engage on here. For example; me and INow butted heads and I even told them to "fuck off" at one point. Since being able to observe their responses without any bias of them being directed at me, while I can recognise that me and INow both have conversation styles that can be construed as abrasive to some, I've come to be appreciative of their responses in my own AOE and recognise we aren't nearly as different as I first thought we were. Admittedly aided by another member here who did a good job of helping me reach a different and fairer perspective of the other users here, including INow. What do you mean by not shoving it in your face? Shoving what in your face exactly? Disagreement with you? I really would not take anything too personally or seriously here, including yourself. I say that as someone who already made the mistake of doing just that. It only leads to stress and it isn't even constructive stress at that. Keep in mind that what good and bad manners are, tend to vary between cultures. This forum has it's own culture. If someone on here is genuinely being unhelpfully rude to you, the mods will deal with it. If they don't, it's probably because it wasn't rude by this forums standards. I think what INow was getting at, is that although it's a nice thing to try and say, it's off topic for this thread somewhat. It also comes across as virtue signalling since you are aware that you are preaching to the choir. I wouldn't feel upset about INows criticism as you yourself said you should probably delete it, so you yourself weren't even sure if it was appropriate to this thread. You are absolutely allowed to have an opinion and I commend you for being brave enough to voice it. Just save it for the appropriate threads is all. If you want to talk about how this relates to Trump stealing the election, be our guest.

Smog contains carcinogenic not fully burned chemical compounds. 5. mass production of ethanol from co2 and h2o from air. 6. free of charge mass transportation in the cities to promote it over individual car driving. e.g. one bus can have as many people as 50-100 cars. It is optimization of energy usage. 7. more virtual work from home office where applicable. it will limit the number of people having to drive to work and back through the city, and also will save their time of life. 1-2h per day is 4-8% of the entire lifetime wasted which could be used more efficiently..

I said intensity not direction. Just stop and think about this for a moment. Suppose there was such a thing as negative intensity of illumination. That would mean that any object or space that possessed this property could be illuminated without result until the illumination was strong enough to overcome this 'negative illumination'. Can you offer any examples of this ?

Have you not heard of absolute zero (of temperature) ? There is no such thing as negative intensity of illumination or intensity of sound, or any term in an equation that is a squared quantity. Just accept that you overreached yourself with that earlier silly statement that all quantities in Physics can be both negative and positive.

A five-year-old cousin was visiting from Alabama, and my family was getting ready to go drive somewhere. The adults were in the house, the kids were outside, and the young cousin was messing around climbing up onto the roof of the car in the driveway. The adults suddenly come out the front door, and the cousin tried to casually scoot off the car but he hurried and ended up landing flat on his butt in front of everyone. "become undetectable" is not "terminated" Your claim said nothing about detection. It implied the photons will cease to be after some distance. I have been fascinated with the subject for many years. I am here to learn, positively argue, but not to battle in this controversial matter. To my understanding here are the scenarios that exists on how the continents are getting farther away from each other that can also be reversed in time to understand how these continents have been joined together in the past. Plate Tectonics: mainstream argument, basis for the Pangea "island". In this case continents were joined on one side of the globe, while the rest was covered with oceans. In plate tectonics the oceanic crust is constantly being recycled, rising at fault lines from a slushy magma underneath, spreading, creating ridges, subducting in other places under the continental crust. The older lighter material (continental plate) float above the denser newer material (oceanic plate). Denser material dives under the continental plate, mountains are created, volcanos channel the magma released where the subduction curve meets the magma. This recycling mechanism of the oceanic crust does not effect the size of Earth's radius in a major way. -- My main problem with plate tectonics is the subduction part. I've looked at sea floor maps and see no evidence of subduction, but rather that the so called oceanic and continental plates are ONE. The only separation of these giant plates occur at fault lines, and if fault lines happen to be under a so called continental plate, then ridges (mountains) are being created in a same way that we see them being created at the bottom of oceans (like the mid-Atlantic ridge for ex.). Now if subduction was to take place in the California region for example (and hence causing the Pacific chain of mountains) then the Oceanic crust should be the oldest here being California the final stage where the sea floor takes a dive as it subducts. But sea floor age map shows the opposite. The material at this fault line is NEW spreading in both direction (in this case East and West). This phenomena is the SAME FOR ALL THE FAULT LINES around the globe, so the possibility that these could be an entrance for an oceanic plate to dive into is eliminated. The way I see, California ridge is constantly being created by the newly emerging material from underneath pushing the lighter (and older) crust not only upwards but TO THE SIDEs also. Because this happens over a long time, meanwhile erosion is also work at hand the mechanism is not as obvious. Also on all terrestrial planets in our Solar System the phenomena of spreading is evident, but subduction is not. Expanding Earth. This theory argues that the Earth has a larger radius now than in the past but with the same mass. In this case continents were joined together on all sides in the past without significant room for oceans between them. Heavier elements like iron were still mixed with lighter elements at the surface, which held the structure together uniformly. As iron started to sink deeper into the Earth's center, the inner part started getting denser, the outer lighter material was left to expand eventually cracking giving way to fault lines. Then these upper lighter pieces started floating above the newly exposed magma. Inflating balloon with dots moving away from each other is used commonly to illustrate this example. -- I am still in the process of completely understanding expanding theory and its related possibilities. Seems very intricate if we consider gravity, tidal, convectional forces, but perhaps worth investigating. Could there be immense hollow areas beneath the Earth, or sponge like structures keep getting stretched by tidal forces perhaps? What about other planets.. would this theory fit to explain spreading in a convincing manner? As I understand unfortunately our current scientific knowledge /instruments are preventing us from exploring the subject in more detail. Growing Earth: Earth with a radius and mass that is constantly growing. Similar to expanding Earth theory, continents were joined together in the past on all sides without significant room for oceans between them. As more mass was acquired underneath, spreading started to occur at fault lines hence the top land (older land) getting farther away from each other. In this argument whether the land was completely covered with oceans or if the oceans were introduced later by another process is less significant than the question of where the additional mass came from, and is still coming from. The amount of solid material entering Earth's atmosphere cannot account for this process to be taken seriously. Pair-production, and a presently very narrow understanding of neutrino interaction are the two possibilities of explaining how the Earth acquired and is still acquiring additional mass, which is not happening at the surface level, but rather near or at the core level. It is interesting to me that all the experiments of neutrino detection are taking place deep inside the Earth as possible, giving me the idea that the immense amount of neutrinos passing through our Earth somehow do interact under unknown conditions, hence making way for generating additional mass which originated from the Sun's core. Combination of some or all of the above: At this point I would say that the combination of all of the above (minus subduction) makes more sense than plate tectonics alone that includes subduction. Note that both expanding earth and growing earth suggest that the continents not only join in the Atlantic, but also in the Pacific. What do you think?

In the long term, yes. Absolutely. There are scores of young people who will NEVER vote Republican because of all of this, and many former republicans who will never vote that way again. I agree with you, basically, that the Copenhagen interpretation is not satisfactory, and neither it is the many-worlds interpretation. But the Copenhagen interpretation works like a dream. That's the problem, actually. It works like a dream and mathematically, it cannot be the whole story. As Bell said, Copenhagen's interpretation is good FAPP (for all practical purposes.) Recently I returned to a discussion after a break and I was suddenly accused of not taking centrifugal forces into account. I guess I was out of the loop for a while.

Buddhism/Taoism have no faith, no concept of justice, it's a regression to where all concepts come from. It's observation helped by action, and action helped by observation. The fulcrum of all of it is that we all live under the illusion that "I" is some-thing. By continuous practice you get to see that "I" is no-thing. Compassion towards others is the only possible consequence of this realisation. Justice is more of a consequence than a goal in these traditions. So my qualms are over faith-based religions. I started the discussion with "religion" as synonymous of faith-based religion. Then I corrected myself. But I don't think that just any practice will get you to be at peace with the world, or with "yourself." It is no coincidence that most religions have a tradition of retreat, renounce, and observation. Faith and narratives play no role there.

Usually the variables of the physics equation equate to the positive direction of the line or curve and terminate due to the finite value of the variables. upon termination, it will extend in the negative direction of the function from the point of origin. the key principle of classical mechanics is opposite direction equal magnitude for all equations. so a positive value plus the same value negative value equals zero. it is assymetric in the math and physics and you can clearly see it in the graph. case in point my reverse order math. E=MCsquared + zero, move the MC squared over the equal sign and you get E - MC squared = zero. the same function can also be expressed as Zero + E=MC squared. Move it across the equal sign and you get -E+MCsquared=zero. Notice the energy and mass variables transition from positive to negative referring to opposite direction equal magnitude. My simple manipulation of the same equation refers to equal to zero on both ends. This is clearly stated in the function when you graph any equation. It will reverse the effect in the opposite direction. Time as time frames like all equations must obey this math.

Radio waves terminate at a certain distance. A sound wave through Doppler Effect stretches with distance from the source and eventually loses noise. Light from blue shift to red shift loses energy in an elongated wave length and eventually terminate in travel. That is why the more distant stars are dimmer in light than the closer stars. The light from the more distant stars lose intensity with a greater distance to span. Even light from further stars do not make it to our skies because at that distance the light energy terminates. Star light in the skies can be millions of light years away, that is an incredible distance away. The universe began at the singularity with only one single time frame. At the moment of the big bang, space and time in the form of time frames extended into the future. It was electromagnetic energy that extended the time frames way into the future. Like I mentioned, all kinetic electromagnetic energy weakens and then terminates with distance. The energy that expanded the time frame weakens as it stretches away from the first time frame before the big bang. At some point in time that energy shall terminate possibly trillions of years into the future. Like the kinetic energy of a pendulum, the time frame shall cease to extend (equal to zero) followed by reverse order of time (time frames). At this point it is the mother of all opposite reactions. Electromagnetic energy travel terminates, the speed of light is finite, an object in free fall reaches terminal velocity and perception from consciousness terminates due to finite. All variables and everything in this universe are finite and will resort to reverse order.
