  1. I know that a proton consists of two up quarks and a down, but recently I was reading that anti-quarks just burst into the scene and pair with their associated partner. What I'm wondering is, how can this happen, and the mass of the proton remain constant? That comma isn't meant to be there.
  2. I've recently been looking at electrons and electricity at school. What I have wondered is how people know they're there at all? It's not that I don't believe that they're actually there, it's more that I want to understand how we know. If anyone could enlighten me, that would be absolutely brilliant! Edward.
