  1. True. Notice how 1 eV = 1.602 x 10-19 J, so would you multiply the joules with the joules in an eV or with the eV in a joule?
  2. I suggest you use (1.99*10-25)*(6.242*1018) as 1 joule = 6.242*1018
  3. I'm being told that positive volts means oxidization and negative for reduction. how exactly does this ork then?
  4. What does it mean for a potentiastat to apply a negative voltage between the reference and the working electrode? I know the voltage is changed by current injection at the counter electrode. Please explain
  5. So this means a higher one is more favourable?
  6. What exactly is exchange current density when it comes to electrocatalysts? Is it favorable in electrocatalysis?
  7. Thanks, but what would be some of the reasons that the experimental would be different?
  8. I've tried reading it, but apparently I'm not smart enough. Thats why I asked here
  9. I need help understanding these graphs for a project: And if needed, attached is the scientific paper its from. ncomms4242(1).pdf
  10. Can someone please explain to me the concept of overpotential? And also what does it mean in relation with electrocatalysts? Thx
  11. The main thing I want to know about is how to disprove "If an animal developed an extra chromosome or lost a chromosome because of some deformity, it could not successfully mate and evolve a new species."
  12. I read this somewhere... "Natural selection is a scientific fact but the trouble with darwinian evolution is that you have creatures turning into other creatures such as a dog turning into a whale which is beyond ridiculous. There is no scientific evidence that a species can change the number of chromosomes within the DNA. The chromosome count within each species is fixed. This is the reason a male from one species cannot mate and evolve successfully with a female of another species. Man could not evolve from apes. Each species is locked into its chromosome count that cannot change. If an animal developed an extra chromosome or lost a chromosome because of some deformity, it could not successfully mate and evolve a new species. The defect could not be passed along to the next generation. Evolving a new species is scientifically impossible. " Is this true? How is evolution possible then?
  13. how does gear efficiency ratios work if there is the 1st law of thermodynamics? By gear efficiency ratios i mena http://www.howstuffworks.com/gears.htm
