Is there a free program, as ICQ used to be, that allows a plain-text SMS sent from the phone, to be received by a PC (running Win7) at the time when there is no wifi for the phone ? fiveworlds Posted February 2, 2016 Share Posted February 2, 2016 (edited) Yeah you can get a gsm modem for your pc/laptop etc because your phone is a pc If your pc doesn't have a gsm modem you need to use an internet gateway provider. For instance your cell phone provider may provide web-text for free if you are their customer. (certain countries make this easier than others mine is a pain).
