Self-studying: setting the path

Hi.

I'm a 10th grade high school kid and I feel like starting my path to studies I would like to do in the future. I'm interested in biochemistry, molecular biology, and nano-technology. I want to study how chemicals interact with the structures of cells, especially how muscles work, and replicate it for our own good. The problem is, I don't know where to begin.

What should Self-study about and with? Links and books would help.

Tganks!

What country are you in? How is your school set up for STEM subjects? Do you have a counselor you can ask about proper courses of study for the subjects you're interested in?

By self-study, are you talking about some areas you'd like to concentrate on in your spare time, or are you talking about self-study as opposed to mainstream academics?

I'm in Japan. My classes are in Japanese, but I highly perfer English. We can only learn Mathematics, Biology, and chemistry, therefor, no STEM subjects. There are no teachers in my school that have taken similar courses I want to take, but I still haven't asked them if they might be able to help.

By self-study, I mean to study on my free time.
