Mass Drivers-Science Fair

Hello! I am currently a Senior in high-school!

Every year, each student is required to do a science fair project to learn more about the scientific method. For Seniors however; we are suppose to make a 'planned' experiment. Which in other words: We don't actually need to do the experiment, we just need to make a solid argument on why a certain experiment we chose should be done, and what our expected results will be.

Basically: How to convince people to give us grants.

The school fair will be in February, and I would rather like to get a full head start on the project.

Anyway, I chose to do something with Mass Drivers because I love space and human exploration. I have been researching all about EM guns and drivers for the past month. However; I cant come up with a basic Thesis for the experiment.

Perhaps something to do with the EM waves or energy usage.

Cost comparisons to conventional rockets?

The Thesis has to be in a "If I do *this*, than *that* will happen" or something related to that.

That is what is holding me up because it really needs to deal with quantitative measurements.

Imagine if you could do any experiment with all the manpower you needed and all the money you could get.

Thanks!
