You better hurry. This "contest" started almost three years ago!

It would be something, though. Sneaking into Arecibo with thousands of rolls of aluminum foil...
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

yea it certainly would be!!!

and this challenge should be repeated for this year I'm bored and it will be a good way to cook food without having to turn on the oven. Did anyone bother to take part three years ago???

This is the solution btw to the challenge.

<Spoiler>
Fill your garden with mirrors (idearly slightly concave) all pointing at the same place. That place will get verry hot.

:doh:

No brainer for me... Dutch Oven on sidewalk... We already do it... Some actually just put aluminum foil on asphalt...

At construction sites I have actually seen workers put a honking huge burrito in foil on dashboard and had a piping hot lunch...

:eek:

Man I need to get my Evaporative Cooler going soon...

~It ain't hot until it reaches 100~

Right now we are in the warm 90's...

Tin foil seems like the opposite of what you'd want -- it'd reflect most heat. Black construction paper would do the best job of absorbing heat.
