Magnetic Field Powered Vehicle

A current can be induced by spinning a wire in a magnetic field, this is due to a change of area in the magnetic field yielding a magnetic flux which in turn induces a current into the wire or solenoid. So if a wire loop, or series of fifty or so were being spun by an electric motor powered by a car battery, this would in turn use an outside potential to power the car to counter the nonconservative forces. Thus the vehicle would not need fuel, but rather an initial push of the battery to start the recharging process. Is this plan plausible?

As you suggested it, it would not work. You would need a constant source of energy to spin the coils in the magnetic field. It would effectively be a battery powered generator (ie, wasted effort).

A plan to use a changing electro-magnetic field to wirelessly power a car would be plausible, but extremely inefficient, which is already a problem with cars. And, of course, a wired system to power cars would work fine, but be ugly. I think batteries or supercapacitors are a better solution here, especially as they will use the same infrastructure.

except that a battery powered generator uses its own power to charge itself which is not really the case since it is using its the rotation of its own wire, in addition to the the field caused by the rotation of the earth, the aim is not for a Carnot engine, merely an engine that takes potential from an outside source so that it does not have to rely on it's own power to charge itself, or any product of its own work, since the earths magnetic field does work on the body in addition to the energy energy used to initiate the cycle.

The earth's field will not do any net work. You still need to provide an external source of energy — any charging you get from passing through the earth's field will slow you down.

As shown by the space shuttle, they have been known to drop a long wire below it, the effect of the earths magnetic field on the wire slows the shuttle down.....

OUCH! what the hell do they do with the accumulated Static charge then? it`s a wonder it doesn`t Fry every circuit on board!
