Missvici101
Hello, in an inorganic chemistry lab we did the following reaction: To VOSO4 add a pinch of potassium hydrogen tartrate, 1mL of the p-phenetidine reagent, 1mL of saturated KClO3 solution and the 2mL of H2O. The result we get is a mixture with three distinct layers: Top layer is a transparent Grey-purple liquid, Middle layer is a brown-black bubble oil layer, Bottom layer is a white precipitate with a flaky appearance. In my report, I need to represent this reaction with chemical equations. Any ideas? I've done my research, and I don't find any information in regards to this type of reaction. Thank you for answering, MV101
