Find conversions using this equations:

MOLES TO GRAMS (moles --> grams)*

Mol Substance x Molar Mass Substance

GRAMS TO MOLES (grams --> moles)*

Mass (g) Substance x 1 mol substance

FORMULA UNITS TO GRAMS (formula units --> moles --> grams)*

Formula Units x 1 mol ----------------- x -------------- Molar mass (g)
---------- Avogadro's number (formula units) ----------- 1 mol

GRAMS TO FORMULA UNITS (grams --> moles --> formula units)*

---Mass substance (g) x 1 mol substance ------ x ----- Avogadro's number
------------------------ Molar Mass (g) substance ----------- 1 mol substance

I might be confused with the terminology in English (not my native language). Is what you mean by "mol substance" the same as "1/(molar mass)" and has it a unit of mol/g?

No, he means moles. The equation he gave in his initial post was moles to grams, ie. Where you have the number of moles and wish to convert it to grams.

If,

n=mass / molar mass

Then,

Mass = n x molar mass

The latter equation is what he wrote out. It was a little weirdly worded, which could be the source of your confusion.

The second equation he gave, and the one I commented on, was grams to moles and he wrote

mass x n

assuming "mol substance" is the same as "the number of moles". This still doesn't make sense to me. My confusion remains.

I stand corrected. I read their post, but only looked at the first equation and not the one you actually responded to. You're correct, and it is wrong. The subsequent equations are also quite confusing.
