View Full Version : Fractals and Atoms
Could it be that the make-up of atoms and other sub-atomic particles are actually like fractals? That is, a pattern going on for infinity?

I don't think so, my logic (which is undoubtedly flawed) says there will be some fndamental particle, probably not a quark, but not much smaller.

The planck length suggests otherwise
Fractals have an uncanny way of showing up in nature. I wouldn't be surprised if they showed up in some arrangements of atoms and whatnot, but I think I'd be a bit surprised if it had something to do with the actual makeup of the atoms themselves. Who knows?

Is something under the planck length forbidden from interacting at all, or forbidden from interacting in such a way that its size can be determined?
I posted this a while ago, I guess this is more pseudo than science :-p
But cool feedback guys!
I still need to read up on the Planck length & whatnot, but keep it up guys!
