The highest mathematics training i have had is Algebra II in high school. I need help extracting some equations for this thread: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?p=66913#post66913 .
If someone could teach me how to or do it for me, it would be apprecciated.

By all accounts, it's rather complex; unless you've got a fairly solid basis in some fairly advanced techniques, it's pretty likely that you won't be able to derive it.

Teaching this stuff in university takes YEARS.

So, no, we can't teach you how to do 'it'.

My advice is to go and take a physics course :-)

I will be the only Junior in my physics course this fall. The rest will be seniors. I suppose my calculus course wouldn't hurt in making the equations.

Won't hurt, but won't particularly help, either. Calculus is to this kind of stuff what addition is to calculus.

what makes you pick out addition over the other elementary binary operations like multiplication and division

Check out the introductory calculus threads in the Analysis/Calculus forum.
