Just a question on this

How efficient are commercial wind turbines in producing electrical energy?
By the the term commerical wind turbines, I mean the ones they use in Wind farms.

Yeah it's for kids :) But it does say that wind machines have an efficiency, in converting kinetic energy to electrical energy, of 30-40%.

Hey all, back again

I was wondering since most of Australia's windfarms are along the coast, would any of these be offshore windfarms??

I know there are plenty around the world. Just interested in Aus. Thanks!

Most windfarms are offshore, afaik. More wind/less disruption to landscape, etc.
